GlobalLogic, a leader in software R&D services, has appointed Sunil Singh as chief of Asia Pacific and managing director of India. A current resident of Silicon Valley, Singh will relocate to New Delhi to manage GlobalLogic's Indian operations.

Phillips Carbon gets new CFO

RPG group company Phillips Carbon Black has appointed Jatin Kapoor as chief financial officer of the company effective from September 10. Kapoor has replaced Altaf Jiwani as CFO, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange. Jiwani has taken over the assignment of heading a seperate division of Phillips Carbon as executive director.

Garg is V-P at Alcatel-Lucent

Alcatel-Lucent has appointed Sarvdeep Garg as vice-president, services, India. Based in Gurgaon, Sarvdeep will report to Vivek Mohan, president of Alcatel-Lucent's Services activities. In this role, Sarvdeep will be responsible for driving excellence in the services organisation including managed services and network systems integration.

Bhargava is SpectraSoft CEO

SpectraSoft Technologies, a provider of business solutions for process industries, has appointed Nagaraj Bhargava as chief executive officer. He will be responsible for providing the vision and leadership to grow the company's business.

Bharali is director at Oil India

Nripendra Kumar Bharali, Oil India general manager for human resources and business development (HR&BD), has taken over as the new director (HR&BD) in the company. Bharali graduated as petroleum engineer from the Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad and is a post graduate from the IIM Ahmedabad, OIL said in a statement.

Patni appoints chief HR officer

Patni Computer Systems (Patni) has appointed Steve Correa as chief human resources officer. Correa will be responsible for Patni's people and organisation strategy, working in collaboration with the executive leadership team, the company said in a statement. Correa is an HR veteran and comes with 25 years of experience across sectors. He joins Patni from Vodafone UK, where he was the HR director group technology since September 2008.
