Description:
GlobalLogic develops a supplier collaboration platform for orchestrating of construction’s heavy work.
This cloud-based platform built on Node.JS, React, JavaScript, AWS, etc., improves collaboration between contractors and project owners, and their heavy material suppliers, producers and haulers. It facilitates every step in the workflow from initial orders through to paying the final bill.
In addition to this platform has advanced mechanisms for revealing insights collected from a variety of sources, including IoT devices, telematics, job site tech, production automatics, etc. Collected analytics help to make better business decisions, operate more efficiently, and see actionable info in real time.
Users interact with the platform using web, and mobile applications running Apple iOS and Android devices.
Several scrum teams with reasonable share of product ownership are involved into business analysis, software design and development, testing, as well as UI/UX activities.
Requirements:
- English is required to at least a B2 level
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with PowerShell (or similar) and various scripting languages
- Experience working in a NIST 800-171(53) (or similar) compliant environment
- Strong communication skills Demonstrates ability to collaborate well in a cross-functional team environment
- Experience with Service Desk Standards and Procedures
- Familiar with on-call and after hour responsibilities
- Experience administrating Windows and Linux servers
- A basic understanding of regulatory standards and how to ensure the business achieves
compliance - A security conscious individual with ability to identify and report potential threats
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Docker and/or other automation tools
preferred but not required - Experience with Elastic, Kibana and other logging tools
- 1+ year technical experience
Cloudadmins are responsible for managing, troubleshooting, licensing, and updating software assets. You will ensure that appropriate measures are proactively followed in response to unforeseen issues such as product downtime or infrastructure related issues. As a Cloud Admin, you’ll frequently interact with internal end users, through ticketing systems and assist with any after hour incidents that may occur. You’ll respond with appropriate changes and solutions while maintaining organizational policies for issue resolution.
Job Responsibilities:
User administration
The Cloud Admin role will frequently work and communicate with end users, primarily through ticketing systems, to provide solutions. This includes onboarding/offboarding resources as well as application/permission assignment.
Documentation
Cloud Admins are required to maintain thorough documentation during their day-to-day activities. This primarily includes notes on solutions provided, descriptions of issues that are to be put on project backlog, and audit notes for change requests.
System health monitoring
Cloud Admins will utilize 3rd party and AWS tools to monitor infrastructure proactively. Sometimes the impact is not seen until it reaches the end user, the Cloud Admin will respond appropriately to these events and provide top tier solutions.
Backup & disaster recovery
Cloud Admins will assist in disaster recovery when the product or its related infrastructure fails. This ensures a seamless transition and minimal downtime for the customer.
Web service administration & configurations
The suite of products includes several web and mobile based applications. The Cloud Admin role will deploy and maintain these applications in their respective environments.
Installation & patching
While AWS handles its internal OS patching, there will be times when we need to upgrade to later versions or install security/application-level patches.
