AWS DevOps Technical Architect
Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced AWS DevOps Technical Architect with strong expertise in AWS Infrastructure, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and CI/CD automation. The ideal candidate should be capable of designing enterprise-scale AWS environments, defining cloud architecture standards, leading Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives, and providing technical leadership across DevOps and cloud transformation programs.

This role requires a combination of architecture, hands-on implementation, code reviews, automation, cloud security, networking, and stakeholder management.

Experience range is 7 to 10 Years, with AWS as thre primary cloud.

Required Experience
8+ years of overall IT experience.
5+ years of hands-on AWS DevOps experience.
Strong experience designing AWS architectures for enterprise-scale environments.
Hands-on expertise with Terraform and Ansible.
Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
Strong Kubernetes (EKS) experience.
Experience managing hybrid cloud and on-premise integrations.
Strong knowledge of AWS networking and security services.
Experience with Linux administration and shell/Python scripting.

Job responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Design
Design enterprise-scale AWS deployment architectures and landing zones.
Create High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents.
Define scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant, and secure cloud architectures.
Lead cloud adoption and modernization initiatives for large organizations.
Design multi-account AWS environments using AWS Organizations, Control Tower, and SCPs.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Develop, review, and maintain Terraform modules and reusable infrastructure components.
Implement infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management using Terraform.
Create and manage configuration management frameworks using Ansible.
Establish IaC standards, governance, and best practices across teams.

AWS Networking
Design and manage enterprise networking architectures including:
VPCs and VPC Peering
Transit Gateway
VPC Endpoints
Route Tables
NAT Gateways
Private/Public Subnets
Hybrid Connectivity
Manage connectivity between:
On-Premise ↔ AWS
AWS ↔ AWS
Multi-region deployments
Implement networking best practices for security, scalability, and performance.

CI/CD & Automation
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
Automate build, deployment, monitoring, and operational processes.
Develop shell/Python scripts for infrastructure and deployment automation.
Integrate DevOps tools such as:
GitLab
Jenkins
SonarQube
Nexus
Ansible

Kubernetes & Containerization
Design and manage Kubernetes-based platforms on AWS EKS.
Implement container orchestration and deployment strategies.
Manage Docker and Kubernetes workloads in production environments.
Ensure scalability, resilience, and operational excellence of container platforms.

AWS Security & Governance
Implement cloud security best practices using:
AWS WAF
AWS Shield
AWS Config
GuardDuty
Firewall Manager
IAM
CloudTrail
Establish security controls, monitoring, auditing, and compliance frameworks.
Ensure infrastructure follows organizational security and governance standards.

Operations & Reliability
Configure monitoring, alerting, and incident management processes.
Implement automated operational tasks such as:
Backups
Cleanup jobs
Auto start/stop schedules
Reporting
Support production environments and drive root cause analysis for critical incidents.
Continuously improve platform reliability and operational efficiency.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Work directly with clients and business stakeholders to understand requirements.
Provide technical leadership to engineering and DevOps teams.
Conduct architecture reviews and code reviews.
Drive technical decision-making and best practices.
Mentor engineers on cloud, DevOps, security, and automation.
