This role is based in our UK&I region.

As a Data Architect you’ll work closely with key stakeholders to discover and analyse data capture systems/sources. You’ll develop visualisations and POC to explain the case for data driven outcomes and the opportunities of aligning and modelling data architecture to deliver end-user requirements.

About the role:

  • Able to communicate across technical and non-technical stakeholders as well as facilitating discussions with different teams.
  • Able to handle and work with different perspectives.
  • Undertake data profiling and source system analysis. Present clear insights to colleagues to support the end use of the data.
  • Understand that data must be aligned to end user needs.
  • Develop basic visualisations and presentations.
  • Able to understand data governance concerns and ensure that data solutions are assured and compliant.
  • Produce minimum viable proofs of concept to communicate ideas to stakeholders.

About you (ideally):

  • Deep understanding of databases and analytics, including relational databases (such as SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle) Data warehousing, big data (Hadoop, Spark), noSQL, and business analytics.
  • Understanding of big data use-cases and Hadoop-based design patterns Knowledge of real time/stream analytics.
  • Strong SQL and Python skills.
  • Technical experience across a range of data related tools and technologies including AWS RDS, Athena, Redshift, EMR, Lake Formation, AWS Glue, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Tableau, Qlik, Spotfire, QuickSight, PowerBI.
  • Highly proficient with predictive analytics tools including Python, R, Revolution R, SAS, SPSS, MATLAB, Micro Strategy, Power BI and Tableau.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases and tools.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP is a plus.
