Description:
We are cooperating with the Client, one of the biggest European Automotive OEMs. We help our customer in the design and implement embedded software for the electronic control units of cars as well as related tools and frameworks.
GlobalLogic team is responsible for the development, and integration validation of multiple Middleware applications and services for the current and next-generation car lines. We work in areas of a remote software update, telematics & connectivity, context-aware systems, and application platforms.
We are committed to modern development methodologies and tools like continuous integration, agile development, and test automation to design and implement innovative and high-quality software.
As a Consultant BSP Software Engineer, you will take management leadership over several teams working on various solutions for Automotive Middleware components. Teams are working by a Scrum process with good support of internal tools and well-established Scrum rituals. Intensive verbal and written communication with the customer team members is expected.
Requirements:
- 5+ Experience with embedded software development
- Good knowledge of C/C++
- Knowledge of Linux device drivers, Linux kernel programming
- Experience with Yocto SDK, Yocto Recipe, Layers
- Experience working with development tools like GIT, and Continuous Integration
- Experience working with different embedded microprocessors based on Qualcomm, TI, NXP or similar
- Experience with Board Support Packages, device drivers and boot loader development
- Experience in troubleshooting and debugging complex issues, good analytical skills
- Very good communication skills in English
- Experience with embedded security (hardening, CVE) – will be a plus
- Experience adding new machine support in the Yocto build system, upgrading Yocto from one version to another – will be a plus
- Experience with board bringing up with different embedded microprocessors based on Qualcomm, TI, NXP or similar – will be a plus
Job Responsibilities:
- Work on Yocto / BSP management, integration, bug fixing
- Integration of Yocto updates
- Perform hardware bring-up of Embedded Linux platform
- CVE management
- OSS management
- Close interaction with the Linux / Yocto OSS community
