Description:
Client created a solution to provide sensor-based solutions that enhance shipment visibility, integrity and security for customers around the world. Client’s customers are logistics professionals who manage complex supply chains facing disruptions, damages, and delays.
The current platform cannot easily scale with increasing demand. Fundamental processes can only be
performed by Client’s personnel. For instance, customers are unable to create an account, order IoT sensors, set up
tracking, update tracking, end tracking, or be invoiced without the involvement of a Client’s employee. Client need to reduce cost to serve and offer a software solution that empowers customers to manage tracking on their own from end-to-end. Additionally, we need to improve the experience for users in the application to increase value, increase utilization, and retain users.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
● 5+ year’s professional software development experience
● Solid experience in analysis and design using object-oriented techniques
● Programming proficiency and experience with Python required
● Experience with Python, Selenium, Behave, and RESTful testing tools like Postman
● Experience creating, and maintaining test automation against RESTful APIs
● Experience with Linux operating systems
● Experience with GCP, Kubernetes, Docker and containerization
● Experience with relational databases
● Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
● Strong communication and collaboration skills
● Experience with Agile and/or SAFe software development methodologies
Desired Qualifications:
● BS in Computer Science or similar, or comparable work experience
● Experience with event-driven micro-service architecture
● Experience with transportation and logistics
● Experience with CI/CD pipelines
● Experience with Eclipse or IntelliJ IDE’s, various plug-ins, Maven, Nexus, and Git
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and Develop Automated Regression Test Suite: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of an automated regression test suite using Python, Selenium, and Behave. Ensure comprehensive test coverage for all new and existing features.
- API Testing: Create and maintain automated tests for RESTful APIs using tools like Postman. Ensure the reliability and performance of API endpoints.
- Release Management: Oversee the testing process for all releases to production. Ensure that all changes are thoroughly tested and meet quality standards before deployment.
- Traceability: Maintain traceability between requirements, implemented tests, and production releases. Ensure that all requirements are adequately tested and validated.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Debugging and Problem-Solving: Utilize excellent problem-solving and debugging skills to identify and resolve issues in the test automation framework and test scripts.
- Environment Management: Manage and configure test environments using Linux, GCP, Kubernetes, and Docker. Ensure that test environments are stable and reflect production conditions.
- Database Testing: Perform automated testing on relational databases to ensure data integrity and consistency.
- CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous testing and delivery. Work with tools like Maven, Nexus, and Git to manage test artifacts and dependencies.
- Documentation: Document test plans, test cases, and test results. Provide clear and concise reports on testing activities and outcomes.
- Mentorship: Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on best practices in test automation and software quality assurance.
