This role is based in our UK&I region.

As an Enterprise Architect you’ll lead engagements which can be either advisory or solution delivery in nature; be the solution lead for bid and business development; lead the development of a value proposition for the practice; and architecture leadership within the practice and GL UK delivery organisation.

About the role:

  • Work with customers to understand their business and identify opportunities to optimise the current delivery approaches to increase value to their customers.
  • Lead workshops and interviews with key partners to understand the customer’s business and IT requirements and the associated system landscape and operating model.
  • Build technical and solution architectures that meet the customer requirements and are compliant with internal and/or the customer Enterprise Architecture principles.
  • Develop solution architectures which have a wider appreciation and coherence with both security & service architecture and cost or commercial constraints/requirements working with our commercial and financial consultants.
  • Defining roadmaps for Digital transformation into a customer’s overall strategic approach.
  • Prepare and lead (or as part of a team) customer presentations outlining recommended solution/technical architectures and benefits.
  • Work with the delivery teams on ensuring adherence of the solution being developed to the agreed solutions/technical architecture.
  • Assist with or lead the preparation of bid responses to RFPs/RFIs and to develop the solutions based on existing case studies or experience along with a delivery plan and associated assumptions, risks and costs.

About you (ideally):

  • Good understanding of Cloud technology skills (AWS, Azure, Google, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and traditional data centre-based technology (Databases, Server Virtualisation, Storage & Networks).
  • Understanding of, or certification in, TOGAF (or equivalent framework e.g. Zachman) and how it is used to derive designs and solutions within a customer landscape.
  • An appreciation of web-based applications and understanding of the importance of Data and Security architecture and how they apply to customer solutions.
  • A good understanding of the concepts of Agile and how to deliver projects within an Agile related delivery framework.
  • Engagement Management skills to lead a team of delivery consultants.
  • Experience in Architecture modelling tools (e.g. ArchiMate).
