Description:

As a Product Designer at Method, you will join a diverse, talented, cross-functional team and deliver thoughtfully crafted products, interfaces, and experiences that solve real problems. With support from your team lead, you’ll use your skills and capabilities in UX, visual design, and prototyping to build empathy with users while creating/validating solutions that make an impact on people’s lives.

Requirements:

  • University or tertiary level student of Graphic Design, UX UI Design and humanities (Communication, Psychology, etc).

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in user experience, product design or interaction designer role developing web-, desktop-based, and mobile app solutions.

  •  A portfolio demonstrating a good level of visual aptitude.

  • Strong understanding of accessibility standards.

  • Knowledge of platform design standards (web, iOS, Android).

  • Knowledge in user research methodologies, such as Qualitative Interviews, Personas, and Experience Mapping.

  • Effective time management skills to balance project schedules with fast-paced deadlines.

  • Strong ability to understand technology and human behavior.

  • Strength in our common design tools (Figma, Sketch, XD, etc.).

  • Experience in implementing high-quality design systems and UI elements/components, as well as basic knowledge of frameworks and libraries.

  • Ability to defend design decisions and negotiate with product teams.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to share and explain insights and results in simple and powerful terms to a variety.

  • Ability to articulate, document, and present research results in the form of reports.

  • Ability to adapt to the fast change in requirements and objectives.

 

 

English: Intermediate to advanced knowledge

 

  • Fluent enough to communicate with native speakers with some degree of fluency and ease effortlessly. 

  • Capable of understanding the main ideas in texts of medium complexity and in standard language, provided.

  • Deal with topics these speakers are familiar with, whether they are work-related situations, or about their studies of leisure activities. 

 


Job Responsibilities:

  1. Understanding of usability principles and techniques, user-centered design, analysis and/or mastery of graphic/web design.

  2. Implementation of design strategies, standards and accessibility.

  3. Executing tasks that enable the optimization of the user experience by interacting with the software systems in order to meet the project objectives. 

  4. Be a part in on-site workshops and work sessions with internal and external teams

  5. Participating in user-centered exercises (Research, Journey Mapping, Interviews) to build empathy for users, and assist in defining product scope for our clients.

  6. Designing the Look and Feel of interfaces for the user, optimized for its subsequent implementation in the development phase in order to collaborate on the delivery of project requirements in due time and form. 

  7. Managing the proper channels of communication to inform about progress, state of the project and work decisions relevant for peers, team leaders and clients.

  8. Analyzing the assigned client’s domain, suggesting the best technical solution and contributing to the correct advice to make decisions.

  9. Using tools and methodologies effectively, suggesting best practices to improve the internal processes of the project they are participating in.
