Description:

Harmonic is a leading provider of innovative broadband solutions that deliver video, voice and data to communications providers around the world. GL team participates in the development and QA of several generations of these solutions.

The CableOS project is about developing the new software-based network equipment which provides access to Internet/IPTV/VoIP services with using powerful servers.

It is an innovative solution for Internet Service Providers which will allow to get rid of the existing HW equipment and to migrate to the cloud, saving customers the enormous expenses for the support of huge number of hardware network equipment. Currently, there are no competitors to this project in the world and Customer offers the opportunity to be at the beginning of the rapid development of the product and the opportunity to take their place in a fast-paced engineering team.

Requirements:

    • 5+ years of continuous Atlassian administration experience (full-time support of Jira Software and Confluence Servers/ Data Center);
    • Strong and confident experience with ScriptRunner for Jira (100+ scripts in one instance), including wide usage of Listeners, Scripted Fields,
    • Behaviors, Fragments on an advanced level (working with all kinds of Jira Software, Issue., Issue Link, Directory, Mention events, etc.);
    • Impressive knowledge for Jira fields ‘permissions’, workflow complex customizations, UI elements, Prometheus metrics related;
    • Guru in eazyBI Reports and Charts for Jira who can easily develop new MDX queries, provide an extended range of new formulas to develop KPI,
    • SLA, Agile, Productivity, Prediction reports, managing several eazyBI Accounts with different range of permissions;
    • Master with Structure – Flexible Jira Project Management app;
    • Experience with Advanced Roadmaps for Jira – Data Center instance;
    • Experience with SLA PowerBox app;
    • Experience with Refined app for Confluence (deep knowledge of Confluence macros and web design techniques);
    • Ability to develop custom Jira internal plugins, Slack bots is a plus;
    • Ability to work independently and solve problems with speed and efficiency, being responsible for the results;
    • Ability to balance user requests and business needs against established JIRA governance best practices;
    • B2/C1 (Upper-Intermediate+) English verbal skills. Ideally, advanced written English;
    • Computer Science, Java/Groovy Programming education and practical skills are necessary;
    • Explicit Admin recommendations and solutions provided;
    • Self-time management, self-motivation, high productivity (for example, per day, a candidate should close successfully one script development job and 2-5+ simple admin tasks);
    • The introvert who is a performer and works for career advancement all the time.

Preferences:

  • Experience with Bitbucket, Fisheye/Crucible;
  • Experience with Jenkins (+Pipeline), Artifactory.

Job Responsibilities:

    • Weekly challenge will be to develop new or update/optimize/fix existing ScriptRunner scripts;
    • As the third team member, will be involved into running Jira Software Server/DC with 3,000+ users, 300+ Projects, 200,000+ issues; and Confluence Server/DC with 3,000 users, 1,000+ Spaces, 30,000+ Pages);
    • Design of Confluence Refined Category landing pages;
    • Optimization of existing Jira configs, including automatizations;
    • Building new Jira Software projects with a specific list of requirements (auto-created subtasks for each affected version, custom Issue Type hierarchy when Feature is above Epic and Theme is above Feature, and so on);
    • Developing advanced eazyBI reports for different Product Owners and Release Managers, also for Customers;
    • Troubleshooting of delays for Jira users’ actions (minimize scripts execution time, CPU load);
    • Monitoring logs for all customizations/automation runs and fix of failed ones;
    • Analysis of projects scope and expected Jira behaviors caused by automations implemented;
    • Building custom JQL in ScriptRunner;
    • Assist Managers with creating new Structures in Jira;
    • Control all SLA metrics in Jira Projects related to customers;
    • Review and improve Jira email, Slack notifications sending to internal and external (customers) users;
    • Maintenance of utilizations of Jira Software and Confluence licenses;
    • Accurate and detailed documentation of every task solved;
    • Meetings (mostly) in English, team communication – exclusively in English;
    • IntelliJ IDEA, Bitbucket are extra tools to be used for administering Jira Software Server/DC.
