Back-end developers will strongly contribute to the client’s software development journey.
The project we’re building is a complex asset management system for managing the acquisition, relocation, and disposal of assets (tools for construction sites). It provides features like depreciation calculation, physical verification, barcode reader, importing data, etc.
Using ~30 Java microservices has 50+ integrations with internal/external services.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Profound working knowledge in software engineering in Java-based backend technologies developing Web Services (REST)
Experience Java8+, Java collection API, unit testing, Spring framework, Spring Boot and microservices
Familiarity with agile/collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, GitLab)
Demonstrated competency using cloud technologies
Ability to effectively work with team members & customers around the globe in a virtual environment
Strong proficiency in the English language, an agile mindset, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to embrace change & new technologies
The Backend Development Engineer (Java) translates business needs into technical application design. This role is responsible for planning, estimating, and developing product interfaces in an agile environment in alignment with the product owners. The Backend Development Engineer actively partners with the client’s a product/solution owners to translate jointly defined unit tests into working, scalable customer solutions. Moreover, this role defines quality assurance processes in close cooperation with the QA team and supports the developed solutions throughout the life cycle of the application – contributing to the development of standards, guidelines, & best practices. This position is responsible for leading the technical delivery of software, matching the needs of the target customer base.
