Description:
We are looking for a Python Engineer, with either QA or software development background. The main tool used in the project is Python, however practical experience with C/C++ would be an additional asset (not a must-have).
The project goal is to develop a QA strategy, creating from scratch a test automation framework, and managing test campaigns for a new wireless protocol for IoT devices. The protocol is suitable for mid-range applications and has many similarities to ZigBee or LoRaWAN.
The crucial part of this project is maintaining a perfect quality and ensuring a full test coverage of the developed solution. Automation of the entire validation process is essential to achieve that goal, especially on the wireless protocol level.
Our areas of responsibility will include functional, performance, endurance, security and integration testing, which requires a deep understanding of the protocols. An important part of our tasks is the delivery of a certification process for 3rd parties, which will include cooperation with other equipment vendors and support pre-certification testing for the US, Europe, and compliance & regulatory testing.
You will closely cooperate with the R&D team located in the USA.

Requirements:
- At least 3+ (middle) / 5+ (senior) years of commercial hands-on experience in Embedded/IoT software testing
- Commercial hands-on experience and fluency in Python programming
- Very good English skills (both written and spoken)
- Experience in embedded/IoT devices programming or testing
- Very good communication skills
- Proactiveness, ability to autonomously generate ideas/solutions, sense of responsibility and ownership
- QA focus/mindset
- Good understanding of at least one mid-range technology (eg. LoRaWAN, Zigbee, Thread or similar),
experience in AWS IoT platform – would be a plus
Job Responsibilities:
- Identifying areas in the protocol that require additional coverage
- Inventing and defining new test case scenarios,
- Implementing test cases
- Designing and extending automation framework
- Setting up, maintaining and/or designing the testbed
