Description:
Our Client is a global technology platform operating at the intersection of culture, community, and commerce. Headquartered in Montreal, it features a mix of established and emerging luxury brands across women swear, menswear, kid swear, and accessories.
We are looking for a Senior Developer to join our rapidly growing technology team. The Senior Developer will take complex features of the product roadmap, break them down into their required technical components, and develop them independently.
The ideal candidate will actively contribute to knowledge dissemination within the organization, participate in the recruiting and onboarding of new employees, and mentor Junior Developers on the team.
Requirements:
– A minimum of 3 years of software development experience.
– Experience with TypeScript/NodeJS.
– Knowledge of Docker/ HELM
– Experience with AWS services: Lambda, SQS, SNS, RDS, VMs, , Aurora.
– NoSQL especially: Document DB, Mongo, Cassandra, DynamoDB
– Experience with serverless and microservices architectures
– Upper Intermediate English.

AWS SQS, AWS SNS, AWS DynamoDB, AWS Aurora, Docker, Messaging/Event Architecture

Help the team deliver its commitments and raise any potential blockers early on.
Complete independently complex development tasks and actively contribute to pushing code to production

Expert in the technologies and practices used by the scope of the team.
Support and actively help the rest of their team level up on these expertises, as well as support when needed outside the team.
Master the team’s deployment pipeline, can propose improvement and deliver them, help and support the team in growing in their mastery of the pipeline
Master the team services infrastructure
Be accountable for code quality of the whole team’s deliveries
Collaboration & Influence
Capable of detecting knowledge gap (compared to expectations) and supporting all team members in recovering them.
Support the coaching and formation of other teams on best practices and processes
Make sure all colleagues are within a psychologically safe environment, detect and protect more junior from potentially unsafe challenges.
Drive and share all the best practices across the department
Strategic Mindset
Deep understanding of the topic of interest of the squad
Develop a deep understanding of the product roadmap for the squad – Quarter ahead
Contribute to high-level estimation and development sequences planning with product
Understand and participate in the definition of the technical best practices that are applied at the dept and the pillar level.
Challenge and provide suggestion to ensure that every story are providing functional value on its own
