The project is related to the petrol industry (refinery business). The role will require close liaison with development and test teams to increase the effectiveness of current development processes. You will be shaping the way that we use our DevOps tools and innovating to deliver business value.


The customer is a British multinational oil and gas company headquartered in London, England. It is one of the oil and gas “supermajors” and one of the world’s largest companies. The company operates in all areas of the oil and gas industry, including exploration and extraction, refining, distribution and marketing, power generation, and trading.




  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or any related field
  • Minimum of 7-8 years’ experience as Engineer, Software Developers, Technical Lead or similar experience to above
  • Professional experience in software development and a deep understanding of technology
  • Excellent leadership skills to inspire the teams to achieve their goals
  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills
  • excellent at communication and interpersonal skills
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and developments
  • Comprehensive understanding of multiple cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure, AWS
  • Desired knowledge and work experience in Agile methodologies – Scrum, Kanban, Lean
  • Experience with continuous integration/deployment & automation tools
  • Experience with Windows Presentation Foundation(WPF), ActiveX Data Objects(ADO), API
  • Good knowledge in SQL server with building SQL queries and procedures
  • Expert in Azure Devops
  • Experience in working in solution in the refinery business

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead software development or software engineering teams and troubleshoot technical issues that involve software development, engineering tasks and product releases
  • Collaborate with their team to identify and fix technical problems
  • Analyse users’ needs/requirement and then find/propose solution that meets users’ need /solve user pain points
  • Coordinate with the team members, other support teams and the users to ensure proper completion of the projects as per the requirements and industry standards
  • Perform a proper check for risk analysis to form proper plans for unforeseen events
  • Analyse existing operations, create an implementation plan and to articulate to stakeholders in non IT team on improvement opportunities
  • Check and ensure software and applications are up to date
  • Supervise system modifications
  • Conduct security audits to identify areas of improvement
  • Guide team(s) through technical issues and challenges
  • Write progress reports (outstanding issues/ work items) and able to articulate to stakeholders that are not familiar with IT terms
  • Motivating staff and create a safe space for the team to discuss their problems and issues to get them resolved.
