Description:
We are looking for a Tester to join our GL team 🙂
This role will support our Developers in performing testing (e.g. regression testing) for new releases of firmware for our client’s devices. It is a mix of mostly manual + to some extend automated testing. Electrionics knowledge is a must and big advantage.
You are going to take part in a project for one of the world’s largest producers of energy-efficient, resource-saving technologies.

Requirements:
- Min. 3 years of experience as Test Engineer
- Knowledge of Python
- Knowledge of electronics (candidate must know what is voltage, current, frequency, period, duty factor, mass, must have at least basic knowledge of electronic components)
- Ability to operate equipment, i.e. oscilloscope, function generator, power supply
- Regarding the oscilloscope, he needs to know what the trigger is for, how to make measurements with cursors, where the oscilloscope ground is connected, the difference between isolated and non-isolated power supply
- Awareness of the existence of ESD and how to handle electronics to avoid ESD
- Good soldering skills
- Ability to read electrical schematics
- Basics of Linux (bash: moving around the file system, creating/deleting directories and files, copying, connecting to a remote host via SSH, listing filesdirectories, listing running processes)
- Knowledge of UART interface (serial port)
- English – min. B2 level
NICE TO HAVE:
- C/C++ under embedded (latest example: written software on STM32 device, which “simulates” the battery in the simulator)
- PyTest (most of the tests have to be run manually anyway, so knowledge of PyTest is not required, and the tests are written quite schematically)
- Knowledge of various serial interfaces such as I2C, Modbus
- Electronics design
Job Responsibilities:
- Working in software verification team of embedded systems
- Software testing including requirements analyzing, test cases designing, test execution, defects reporting
- Tests automatization
- Configuring, maintaining, and managing test environment (for automated tests & remote testing)
- Keeping up to date information in project’s tools and repositories (JIRA, Sharepoint, Confluence)
- Participating in Daily meetings with client (english min. B2 is a must)
- Working closely with client
- Being present in the office (from time to time) – working with client’s equipment
