Description:
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, JIRA
• Understanding of application and network level protocols, HTTP, SIP, DIAMETER, RADIUS, RTP, TLS, TCP/IP, UDP
• Understanding of 3GPP IMS and oAuth protocols
• Knowledge of network troubleshooting tools (IrisView, Wireshark)
Requirements:
• Testers should additionally have an understanding of flows to provide a preliminary readout of the issue being faced.
• Testers will also become a point of contact for the reproduction of customer issues and need the ability to ask needed questions to ensure the reproduction of issue feasibility.
• Testers could also be required to support the deployment of new software during maintenance windows (overnight).
• Testers will also provide recommendations and updates to developed test plans based on results and issues reported.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
Preferences:
• Testers would be required to have the following knowledge and skill sets:
• Experience running manual test cases and reporting results.
• Experience using iPhone, Android devices and messaging applications such as (Android Messages, WhatsApp, iMessage, etc).
• Experience using Smart Devices such as Amazon Echo, Google Home
Job Responsibilities:
• Testers will report their results to the lead engineer who will work with the tester to gather more information, execute testing again and be given direction of whom to work with to resolve.
• Testers will need to be self-sufficient in the ability to collect and need device, network and system logs (where appropriate).
• Testers will be asked to summarize their findings of issues found; summarization would include passed/failed count, frequency of occurrence, etc.
• Testers will be required to provide logs and details of their results to the lead engineer for traceability.
