We are seeking a Software Application Developer / System Configuration Developer to join a Digital Solutions & Analytics implementation team based in Gothenburg, Sweden. This role focuses on configuring, tailoring, and delivering advanced crew and operations management systems used by leading airlines worldwide.

You will work in an agile, collaborative environment, closely engaging with customers and internal teams to adapt software solutions to meet unique operational needs. The role combines technical development, system configuration, and customer interaction, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both programming and working directly with stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is solution-oriented, analytical, and eager to learn the airline business while contributing to impactful, real-world software solutions.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional work experience
  • Hands-on experience with Python
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and with external stakeholders
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in airline operations, particularly crew and/or operations planning
  • Familiarity with airline planning systems or domain-specific tools
  • Experience managing codebases using Git (GitHub, GitLab, or similar)
  • Experience with Linux-based systems
  • Exposure to software testing practices
  • Knowledge of functional programming concepts
  • Experience working directly with customers or end users

Job responsibilities

  • Configure and tailor software solutions to meet customer-specific crew and aircraft planning requirements
  • Develop and maintain system configurations and supporting code, primarily using Python
  • Collaborate closely with customers to gather requirements, manage expectations, and deliver optimal solutions
  • Participate in workshops and discussions with stakeholders as part of the implementation process
  • Work within a cross-functional agile team to solve technical and programming challenges efficiently
  • Support software testing, validation, and troubleshooting activities
  • Maintain and manage codebases using version control tools
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth system delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Continuously learn and develop expertise in airline operations and planning systems
