Description:
Our Client is one of the leading providers of a comprehensive program that enables businesses to secure brand value and thrive commercially. They serve over 5000 clients on five continents!
The project we are working on is the largest technology transformation for the Client at the moment. It consists of Engineering and Data Science functions, with 180 people globally, aligned to Trademark Solutions or Online Brand Protection Business Units. Brand Protection has large-scale web crawling and workflow web applications (including browser plugins). The platform is tracking millions of product listings each day and a dataset in excess of 150TB.
Requirements:
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Software architecture
- Containerized and serverless architectural patterns, K8S/EKS & lambdas
- Data analytics, and ETL systems
- Cloud Hosting with AWS
- Multiple in-depth programming languages, eg. Python, Java
- Cassandra & other columnar stores, e.g. BigQuery or RedShift
- Elasticsearch or Solr
- Relational databases, such as MySQL and PostgreSQL
- Queuing and streaming with RabbitMQ and Kafka
- Non-relational databases such as Redis or MongoDB
- Infrastructure automation & DevOps practices, such as Terraform and Harness
- Centralised logging such as DataDog or ELK
- Source Control and CI/CD systems, such as Git
- Engineering Practices, such as TDD and continuous integration
- Jira and Confluence
- Technical documentation, UML, functional specifications
- Agile development practices and continuous improvement
- Adopter of Open Source and awareness of intellectual property concerns
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or a similar field
Beneficial Skills & Experience:
- Familiarity with Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing
- Graph databases
- Data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
- Vue.js and GoLang
- GCP
Job Responsibilities:
1. Lead:
- Be accountable for delivering software architectural design backed by sound technical decisions
- Provide hands-on architectural leadership, coaching, and inspiration
- Support on-time delivery of awesome software
- Champion efficiency, automation, observability, and general software development best practice
2. Implement:
- Make high-level design choices in application design and technical standards.
- Diagram architectures that meet functional and non-functional requirements, following appropriate patterns
- Use tools and methodologies to simplify complex architectures
- Deliver designs for innovative new features, such as Network Analysis and Imaging systems
- Assure code quality and ensure full documentation, including flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code, for all developed solutions
3. Engage:
- Ensure technical alignment with other teams in Brand Protection through superior communication
- Inspire creative thinking among engineers
- Align and integrate with AI & Data Science teams
- Share knowledge, guide the teams and the wider Corsearch engineering community
