Requirements
Looking for a Senior Developer with strong working experience in building software applications using Clarion. The candidate will be responsible for designing, enhancing, and maintaining enterprise applications, troubleshooting production issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Strong hands-on experience in Clarion (Clarion 8 / 10 / 11 or later)
- Good knowledge of ABC and Legacy templates
- Experience working with TPS files and Clarion dictionary (.DCT)
- Strong SQL knowledge (SQL Server / MySQL / PostgreSQL)
- Experience with Windows desktop application development
- Knowledge of multi-threading and Clarion queue handling
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Experience with reports, procedures, and browses/forms
- Understanding of file drivers (TPS, TopSpeed, SQL drivers)
- Experience with source control (Git / VAULT SERVER)
- Knowledge of Clarion ABC/Legacy templates
- Experience in API integrations and web services
- Familiarity with deployment and build processes
- Hands-on experience with C# .NET
- Hands on experience with using Github Copilot CLI, Claude or equivalent AI tools
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
Job responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain applications built on Clarion
- Analyze existing legacy systems and implement enhancements and bug fixes
- Participate in requirements gathering and provide technical estimations
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable Clarion code
- Perform database design, schema updates, and data migration (TPS/SQL)
- Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize application workflows
- Handle version upgrades, third-party library integrations, and deployments
- Work on NetTalk-based web components (if applicable)
- Review code and provide technical guidance to junior developers
- Collaborate with QA and business teams for testing and release cycles
- Maintain technical documentation for modules and changes
- Own Clarion modules end-to-end
- Deliver high-quality code within timelines
- Provide technical guidance to team members
- Ensure system performance and reliability
- Handle production support when required
