Description
Join GlobalLogic, to be a valid part of the team working on a huge software project for the world-class company providing M2M / IoT 4G/5G modules e.g. to the automotive, healthcare and logistics industries. Through our engagement, we contribute to our customer in developing the end-user modules’ firmware, implementing new features, maintaining compatibility with the newest telecommunication and industry standards, as well as performing analysis and estimations of the customer requirements.

Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator to manage database setup, migration, backup and all other activities for optimization within datacenter and for migration to Azure.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assess current state of Database setup and plan for optimizations.
2. Backup and restore of databases.
3. Migration of Databases from one server to another (lift and shift) either within data center or from data center to Azure.
4. Setup of database server, installation of databases, DB monitoring, performance tuning and all associated activities.
5. Understanding data models and providing and implementing solutions as per requirements.
6. Work with DevOps team to implement automation of database activities (setup and maintenance).
Qualifications:
1. Expertise in SQL Server DB design, setup, maintenance, backup, restore and all other administrative activities.
2. Experience working on Data warehouse/ETL jobs, SSIS and SSAS and reporting tools.
3. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, is an absolute must. Must be able to document technical solutions very well.
4. At least a Bachelor’s degree in information technology, software engineering, computer science, or related field.
