Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) aims to transform existing ways of working on the architecture of the networks. The transformation may be achieved by evolving standard IT virtualization technology to consolidate numerous network appliances types onto industry standard high volume servers, switches, and storage. These standard hardware appliances may be located in a variety of NFV Infrastructure Points of Presence (NFVI-PoPs) including data centers, network nodes and in end user premises.
