Requirements
- Possessing 4-6 years of progressive experience in software development engineering in test, demonstrating a strong track record of delivering high-quality automation solutions.
- This position operates under a fully remote work model, requiring a high degree of self-discipline and effective virtual collaboration with distributed teams to achieve project objectives.
Required Skills:
- Demonstrated advanced proficiency in utilizing Playwright for developing robust end-to-end test automation scripts across various browser environments.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Cypress, including advanced capabilities for creating and maintaining efficient and reliable automated tests for web applications.
- Strong working knowledge of JavaScript, essential for scripting test automation frameworks and integrating with modern web technologies.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Node.Js for backend testing utilities or extending test automation capabilities would be beneficial.
- Basic understanding of AWS cloud services, particularly as they relate to deploying and managing test environments or applications.
- Experience with GitHub for version control, collaborative code management, and integrating with CI/CD pipelines is advantageous.
- Exposure to ArgoCD for continuous delivery on Kubernetes, understanding its role in automated deployments, is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud platform, including foundational services relevant to application deployment and testing.
- Intermediate experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code, enabling the provisioning and management of test environments efficiently.
Job responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust automated test scripts using frameworks such as Playwright and Cypress to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Build and maintain comprehensive test suites for web applications, focusing on functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Enhance existing test automation frameworks and tools to improve efficiency, reliability, and coverage across various projects.
- Analyze complex software requirements and technical specifications to design effective test plans and strategies.
- Implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline integrations for automated testing processes.
- Maintain detailed documentation for test cases, test results, and defect reports, ensuring clear communication with development teams.
- Develop and execute performance and load tests to identify bottlenecks and ensure application scalability.
- Analyze test failures, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with development teams to facilitate timely resolution of defects.
- Contribute to the selection and evaluation of new testing tools and technologies to optimize the overall QA process.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
We are looking for a full-time Senior SDET. The ideal candidate will be capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities. This role will help architect, design, and build automation, and integration tests to support engineering quality and testing initiatives. Their responsibilities include creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and scripts based on API- and client-driven design specifications outlined in stories. Success will be measured by driving the adoption of standards and best practices for software test development, with a material impact on product scalability, end-user reliability, defect detection, and velocity of successful delivery of innovation.
