Description

We are seeking an experienced Android Developer with strong expertise in Jetpack Compose and Kotlin to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Android platform, modern UI frameworks, and mobile application architecture. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver high-quality Android applications.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience

5–7 years of hands-on experience in Android application development

Strong proficiency in Kotlin, with solid experience building modern Android apps

Expertise in Jetpack Compose, Android UI design patterns, and declarative UI principles

Good understanding of Core Android Architecture, Android OS internals, and the Application Lifecycle

Strong knowledge of Android SDK, architecture components (ViewModel, LiveData/Flow, Room, Navigation, etc.)

Experience working with mobile platform low-level interfaces such as Bluetooth, WiFi, Media codecs, Streaming, and device discovery

Experience working in Agile/SCRUM environments

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Understanding of mobile design guidelines, usability principles, and scalable architecture

Experience with consumer electronics is a strong advantage

Team-handling or mentorship experience is a plus

Experience working with international clients is an added advantage

Job responsibilities

Lead and contribute to the end-to-end development of Android applications using Jetpack Compose and Kotlin

Make technical decisions to influence product direction, architecture, and best practices

Collaborate with onsite and cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and translate them into actionable technical specifications

Design, implement, test, and debug high-performance mobile applications

Prepare and maintain technical documentation, design specs, and development standards

Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, UI/UX teams, Architects, and QA to ensure project alignment

Promote and enforce good software engineering practices within the team

Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to best practices

Handle resource planning, task allocation, scheduling, and progress reporting when necessary

Stay updated with the latest Android technologies, tools, and trends to drive innovation
