Description:

Join GlobalLogic, to be a valid part of the team working on a huge software project for the world-class company providing M2M / IoT 4G/5G modules e.g. to the automotive, healthcare and logistics industries. Through our engagement, we contribute to our customer in developing the end-user modules’ firmware, implementing new features, maintaining compatibility with the newest telecommunication and industry standards, as well as performing analysis and estimations of the customer requirements.

Requirements:

Technical skills:
1. Exposure to Mobile/Cellular Network Architecture (4G & 5G), various interface protocols mainly between RAN and core network, knowledge of RAN layers – L2 & L3 and L1-L2 interface, O-RAN. Knowledge of End-to-end call flows at high level
and 5G RAN (vCU, vDU) – architecture, deployment, testing and validation
2. Good understanding of 4G/5G network architecture and CORE/RAN architecture with experience of installation and testing of 5G CORE equipment in test lab including functional and conformance testing.
3. Hands-on testing experience of RAN network elements – DU/BBU – macro or small cell, including DU/CU/BBU configuration and packet core & UE configuration (IMSI, SIM programming, test sets) and log collection for DU and CU & UE or UE emulator, high level log analysis.
4. Hands on experience on Kubernetes, Cloud infra and SBA – Service based architecture
4. Proficiency with IP networking (switching and routing) and protocols (i.e., IPv4, IPv6, NAT, TCP, UDP, OSPF, BGP). Packet analyzer tools knowledge for e.g. wireshark
5. Knowledge of RAN Performance parameters for the DU.
6. Solid understanding SDN, VNF, and Cloud-native technologies (i.e., Virtualization, Containers, etc.).

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for the software architecture, design, development, testing and documentation for projects. Define requirements, develop a good understanding of requirements, translate to user stories and tasks, develop the requirements, unit and integration testing and ensuring product quality as per internal and customer’s quality requirements.

Primarily responsible for the following:
1.Responsible for end-to-end performance to ensure our 4G and 5G solutions are fully compliant with customer’s network design.
2.Lab experience required and will include equipment racking/de-racking, staging, and kitting for shipping to customer Proof of Concept (POCs), powering, network wiring, provisioning, and configuring lab equipment, helping with lab operational readiness. Working knowledge of design and test tools (e.g., iBwave, EXFO, Spectrum Analyzers, Wireshark).
3. Define and complete customer information questionnaires (CIQ), Radio Frequency Data Sheets (RFDS), Design Specifications and other related technical input/output documentation.
4. Be a subject matter expert for RAN and RF technologies, facilitate and lead knowledge transfer as needed.
Execute system configuration, implementation, and integration activities either on-site or remotely.
