Description:
As a Lead Software Engineer, you will spearhead the development of middleware components for the automotive industry, ensuring compliance with industry standards like MISRA-C++ and CERT-CXX while facilitating the seamless integration of technology with a keen eye on future adaptations. This role demands a blend of technical prowess, leadership acumen, and a collaborative spirit to drive projects that are pivotal in advancing our innovative solutions.
Requirements:
Technical Expertise:
– Proficient in C++, with at least 5 years of experience in developing middleware, preferably in the automotive industry.
– Strong experience with IPC mechanisms and network communication protocols, specifically in the development and optimization of middleware services.
Industry Compliance:
– In-depth knowledge and practical application of MISRA-C++ or (and) CERT-CXX code standards.
Leadership and Collaboration:
– Demonstrated leadership in managing software development projects, with a minimum of 2 years in a lead role.
– Proven ability to mentor and enhance the skills of team members.
– Experience in utilizing Jira for task management, with a structured approach to project execution and the ability to manage projects from conception to completion.
Systems Knowledge:
– Experience with embedded systems, especially in an automotive context, with a focus on ensuring safety, security, and robust performance.
– Practical knowledge in developing software for Linux and QNX systems.
Communication:
– Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into comprehensible terms for non-technical stakeholders.
– Proficiency in collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders to drive project success.
Will be a plus:
– Experience with Python and Terraform, demonstrating a capacity to manage infrastructure as code.
– Hands-on experience with ROS2 and a solid understanding of its application in managing inter-process communication and data.
Job Responsibilities:
– Refinement of Requirements: Translate and refine stakeholder requirements into a coherent system and software architecture design, ensuring alignment with project objectives and industry standards.
– Task Management: Develop, define, and delegate tasks using Jira, ensuring clear communication of expectations and timelines to facilitate structured and timely project execution.
– Knowledge Sharing and Mentorship: Foster a collaborative environment by sharing knowledge and expertise with team members, and providing mentorship on project-related skills and tasks.
– Product Development Collaboration: Work in tandem with the product owner to extend the feature list, ensuring continual enhancement and adaptation of our middleware components to meet evolving market needs.
– Cross-Platform Development: Lead the development of middleware ensuring cross-platform compatibility, particularly focusing on Linux and QNX systems.
– Quality and Compliance Assurance: Ensure software processes (SWE.1,2,3) are defined and adhered to and collaborate with the quality team to validate middleware against MISRA-C++ and CERT-CXX standards.
– Collaborative Development: Engage with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers and QA teams, to ensure comprehensive, efficient, and innovative product development.
