Description
Our Client is one of the leading providers of a comprehensive program that enables businesses to secure brand value and thrive commercially. They serve over 5000 clients on five continents!
The project we are working on is the largest technology transformation for the Client at the moment. It consists of Engineering and Data Science functions, with 180 people globally, aligned to Trademark Solutions or Online Brand Protection Business Units. Brand Protection has large-scale web crawling and workflow web applications (including browser plugins). The platform is tracking millions of product listings each day and a dataset in excess of 150TB.
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Deep industry experience in cloud technologies
- Containerised and serverless architectural patterns, K8S/EKS & lambdas
- Cloud migration and transformation experience
- High Availability and Disaster recovery implementations
- Non-relational databases such as Redis or MongoDB
- Security architectures for infrastructure, cloud, and applications
- CI/CD tooling (Harness) and cloud orchestration tooling (Terraform/CloudFormation)
- Jira and Confluence
- Technical documentation, UML, functional specifications
- Agile development practices and continuous improvement
- Adopter of Open Source and awareness of intellectual property concerns
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or a similar field
- AWS or equivalent certifications
Beneficial Skills & Experience:
- Architectural certification (eg TOGAF)
- AWS certifications
- Data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
- GCP
- ISO27001 and GDPR guidelines

- Be accountable for the effective use of the cloud, identifying appropriate solutions and roadmap to achieve it
- Provide hands-on architectural leadership, coaching, and inspiration
- Support on-time delivery of awesome software, on budget
- Champion efficiency, automation, observability, and general software development best practice
2. Implement:
- Make high-level design choices in cloud design to assure cost-efficient, secure and scalable solutions
- Raise the cloud maturity with the latest technologies, trends, and offerings of cloud providers
- Diagram architectures that meet functional and non-functional requirements, following appropriate patterns
- Use tools and methodologies to simplify complex architectures
- Assure code quality and ensure full documentation, including flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code, for all developed solutions
3. Engage:
- Ensure technical alignment with other teams in Brand Protection through superior communication
- Inspire creative thinking among engineers
- Align and integrate with AI & Data Science teams
- Share knowledge, guide the teams and the wider engineering community
