Description
• Overall responsibility of ensuring the engineering deliverables by the Scrum teams, are on schedule and on quality, adhering to the engineering standards, best-practices and metrics
• Work with the Team Leads in streaming the capacity planning and developing schedules for the Scrum teams, in alignment with the product and technical roadmap
• Work with Engineering Leader and Architect, in defining the Technical roadmap, technology modernization initiatives and also in reducing the overall Tech Debts of the applications/products owned
• Ensuring the defined quality standards on the end-to-end product development life-cycle stages (i.e. design, coding, unit/integration/regression/acceptance testing, release)
• Measuring, tracking and reporting of the engineering metrics for the Scrum team, on quality and productivity, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Overseeing the risks, issues, dependencies and actions for the scrum teams are addressed and flagging the ones that need leadership attention
• Analyzing existing operations and scheduling training sessions and meetings to discuss the gaps and improvements
• Encouraging innovation and high-performance work-ethics in the Scrum teams owned
• Create and execute appropriate quality plans, project plans, test strategies and processes for development activities in concert with business and project management efforts.
• Build, Guide and Coach the Scrum Teams on following agile best-practices and principles to deliver high quality products, facilitate and support all scrum events
• Creating and influencing innovative solutions that meet both functional and non-functional (ex. reliability, availability, performance & security)
• Keeping up-to-date with latest industry trends, upcoming technologies and developments.
• Mentoring the teams in handling the aspirations of the individual team members and guiding the team in training and upskilling initiatives
• Building High-Performance Teams, from Recruitment, Personal Development, Performance, Coaching, Motivation perspective
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
• Should have 12+ years of experience with strong engineering management skills, while working in product development organizations with a proven experience of developing scalable products in an agile/scrum/kanban environment
• Should have handled engineering delivery for 3-5 Scrum teams, as an engineering leader
• Strong technical expertise in the applicable technical areas .NET, React, Azure, DevOps, with understanding of architecture, design patterns, coding best-practices, testing and release methodologies, Collaborate with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions.
• Agile delivery (good awareness of metrics), Ops (P&L optimization)
• Ability to manage rampup, transition and transition to steady state and value adding phases.
• End to end engineering mgmt experience.
