Description
Our Customer connects shoppers to the brands leveraging personalized digital media. Customer owns the evolving purchase history of more than three-quarters (280 million) of American shoppers. With the world’s largest shopper purchase history database driving personalized media across our networks, they drives lift and loyalty for the world’s leading retailers and CPG brands. The DevOps and Cloud Engineering team is responsible for a variety of infrastructure systems internationally. Platforms managed by the team include cloud services, DevOps Platform based on Kubernetes, Hadoop and Spark ecosystem.
Wage: From 3300€/Gross. Final salary will reflect your skills and experience
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Technology or equivalent required
- More than 8 years of experience as a System, Integration or DevOps Engineer in a senior role placing emphasis on operations support, design, and implementation
- Combined experience should include some portion of the below:
- 5+ years of architecture design and/or solution engineering in IaaS/PaaS/SaaS environments
- 5+ years datacenter solution architecture or equivalent
- 3+ years of design or administration involving cloud infrastructure (Azure)
- 3+ years of scripting or coding experience with one or more languages
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with network engineering
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Motivated self-starter who has the ability to lead by example and approach technical problems with creative
solutions - Strong knowledge of Linux and Linux environments (CentOS)
- Must be fluent with Source Code Management systems (Git, BitBucket)
- Experience with Windows system administration, system monitoring, instrumentation, resiliency and performance.
- 5+ years of system architecture required with a demonstrated ability to read the code and understand the coding logic to assist in troubleshooting
- Fluent skills in object-oriented programming and experience in at least one programming language, such as Ruby, C, C++, GO, Python, or Java.
- Experience working cross-functionally across multiple teams.
- Ability to successfully work with customers, developers, testing, project management, and support staff
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills and technical troubleshooting skills
Job Responsibilities
- The scope of responsibilities will include strategic design, implementation, capacity and performance of Cloud environments.
- With minimal supervision, is responsible for the creative and continuous improvement of the design, installation, operation, and management of on-prem and cloud-based infrastructure
- Support the development life cycle of platform architectural design, deployment and debugging
- Building a release pipeline to enable fast, but safe delivery of critical business software to Production
- Develop & Maintain sound version control best practices based CM systems (GIT), including branching and merging strategies
- Serve as a technical lead for an Agile team and actively participate in all Agile ceremonies. Participate in all team
- ceremonies including planning, grooming, product demonstration and team retrospectives.
- Ability to automate release deployments across development, test, staging, Quality Assurance and production stacks using a combination of scripting languages and other automation toolkits
- Set-up up new sites and applications via configuration management such as Puppet and Ansible
- Maintain / upgrade / patch tracking and documentation software (Confluence / Jira)
- Assist in design and maintenance web service infrastructure and deployments
- Analyze service stack and make recommendations for further improvements
- Identify processes and capabilities that can be streamlined and automated
- Communicate effectively to help bridge stakeholder and development requirements
- Responsible for documentation of the standards and practices related to the DevOps function of Cloud Engineering
- Handles all L3 escalations from Scrum resources.
- Provides coaching and technical leadership to other Cloud Engineers
- Produce professional diagrams and documentation for pipelines, and other automation methodologies, standards, policies and procedures, using Visio and other visual documentation aids.
- Participate in projects and guiding the activities of others, specifically DevOps resources and 3rd parties, related to projects and problem resolution.
- Following the established change policy, including documenting changes, creating installation and back out checklists, education others that may be impacted by changes in advance, and looking for ways to improve the process
- Collaborate other key Cloud areas to optimize operations and performance across the Cloud function.
- Responsible for key tools and technologies in the Cloud DevOps space, including source code and SDLC automation.
- Participates in providing after-hours, weekend, and holiday escalated support as required
- Assists Manager in tracking progress, prioritizing work, developing time estimates and work plans and assisting
- less experienced team members
- Performs all other duties as assigned or directed
- Engage in technology roadmap development
- Engage with the EA function to ensure that Infrastructure Architectural designs are in line with the needs of the current and future cloud and security needs
