Description

We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Architect with strong hands-on skills in Terraform, AWS, and Ansible to design, build, automate, and manage large-scale enterprise cloud environments. The role involves architecting AWS Landing Zones, implementing governance using AWS Control Tower/SCPs, designing multi-account/multi-VPC infrastructure, and ensuring secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions.
You will work with Kubernetes/EKS, CI/CD tools, cloud networking, cloud security, and automation frameworks to streamline deployment processes and optimize infrastructure performance. The ideal candidate will be capable of creating detailed deployment architectures (HLD/LLD), collaborating with development teams, and driving continuous improvement across cloud operations.

Requirements

Must Have

Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering.

Strong, hands-on expertise in Terraform, AWS, and Ansible.

Solid knowledge of AWS networking: VPC, TGW, VPC Endpoints, hybrid connectivity.

Strong understanding of AWS core services: EC2, S3, RDS, Route53, ASG, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, ECS/EKS.

Hands-on scripting skills in Shell/Python and strong Linux experience.

Experience with DevOps tools: GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus, etc.

Experience with CI/CD pipeline setup and release automation.

Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Docker Compose, and container orchestration.

Familiarity with web servers (Apache, Tomcat, Nginx).

Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible/Puppet).

Ability to work independently under tight timelines and manage multiple priorities.

Good to Have

AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification.

Exposure to monitoring and logging tools: ELK, New Relic, Prometheus, etc.

Prior experience managing infrastructure for public-facing web applications.

Experience with client interaction and requirement gathering.

Basic networking knowledge: VLAN, Subnetting, Routing.

Knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).

Job responsibilities

Architecture & Design

Design and document end-to-end AWS deployment architectures (HLD, LLD, deployment diagrams).

Architect and manage AWS Landing Zones, Control Tower environments, and Service Control Policies (SCPs).

Define AWS networking architecture: VPCs, subnets, Transit Gateways, VPC endpoints, hybrid connectivity.

Design scalable, secure, fault-tolerant, and highly available cloud solutions.

Automation & IaC

Develop, review, and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and Ansible.

Automate deployments, builds, and repetitive tasks using Shell/Python, Jenkins, Ansible, or similar tools.

Implement configuration management using Ansible.

Cloud Infrastructure Management

Manage cloud services like EKS, ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, ASG, Route53, CloudFront, CloudWatch, CloudTrail.

Handle on-premise to AWS and AWS to on-premise networking setups following best practices.

Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Bamboo.

Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes/EKS.

Security & Monitoring

Implement and manage AWS security services: WAF, AWS Config, GuardDuty, Shield, Firewall Manager.

Enforce secure access controls, IP whitelisting, IAM rules, and compliance practices.

Configure monitoring, alerts, and dashboards; respond to outages/incidents.

Automate operational tasks: backups, cleanup jobs, start/stop schedules, reporting.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

Work directly with development teams to resolve issues and support releases.

Understand client requirements, propose solutions, and ensure timely delivery.

Continuously improve infrastructure efficiency, automation, and reliability.
