Description:
Lead and manage a team of Python, AI/ML engineers and data scientists, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Engage in hands-on development to balance workload or address significant complexity through technical Proof of Concepts, build, test including non-functional areas like security, reliability and performance.
Oversee the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models and AI solutions using Python.
Ensure that technical designs meet functional, resilience, throughput, security, reuse and simplicity needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
Ensure best practices in software development, data management, and model deployment are followed.
Mentor team members, providing guidance on technical skills, career development, and project management.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies and identify opportunities for their application within the company.
Monitor project progress, manage timelines, and ensure successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.
Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders and senior management.
Act as a point of contact for TCO (total cost of ownership), managing and driving production defects & stability improvements to resolution.
Ensuring operational efficiency and actively participating in organizational initiatives with the objective of ensuring the highest customer value.
Tailor processes to help manage time-sensitive issues and bring them to appropriate closure.
Requirements:
We are seeking an experienced Python and AI/ML Engineering Manager to lead our talented team of engineers and data scientists.
The Manager Engineer is responsible for driving the development and implementation of innovative AI/ML solutions, managing project timelines, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Python and machine learning, combined with leadership experience as they are also accountable for executing the People Leader fundamentals in line with GL Policies and drive a learning-based culture.
