Bezplatn\u00e1 aplik\u00e1cia a technologick\u00e9 mo\u017enosti, ktor\u00e9 m\u00e1 takmer ka\u017ed\u00fd z n\u00e1s k dispoz\u00edcii, n\u00e1m v\u0161etk\u00fdm otv\u00e1raj\u00fa dvere v boji s odpadkami. <\/span>\u201e<\/span><\/i>Aplik\u00e1ciu EcoHike sme v GlobalLogic vyvinuli pre v\u0161etk\u00fdch, ktor\u00fdm nie je \u017eivotn\u00e9 prostredie \u013eahostajn\u00e9. Za\u0165a\u017ek\u00e1vacia sk\u00fa\u0161ka na Ru\u017e\u00edne<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dobrovo\u013en\u00edci z GlobalLogic Slovakia<\/strong>, z OZ Ru\u017e\u00ednska priehrada a OZ Save Nature by \u010civas mali mo\u017enos\u0165 aplik\u00e1ciu vysk\u00fa\u0161a\u0165 ako prv\u00ed pr\u00e1ve na Ru\u017e\u00edne. Na tejto priehrade prebieha intenz\u00edvne upratovanie od roku 2021, a to nielen na pevnine, ale aj na vodnej hladine. Dobrovo\u013en\u00edci za posledn\u00e9 4 roky vyzbierali neuverite\u013en\u00fdch 56 ton odpadu.<\/p>\n

\u201eJe to v\u00fdborn\u00e1 my\u0161lienka, preto\u017ee v\u010faka apke vieme identifikova\u0165 ohnisk\u00e1 odpadu a vyhodnocova\u0165, ktor\u00e1 lokalita je najviac zne\u010dis\u0165ovan\u00e1 a vytv\u00e1ra potenci\u00e1lne naplaveniny. Ak si ju jednotlivci osvoja, aplik\u00e1cia by vedela pom\u00f4c\u0165 aj pri odha\u013eovan\u00ed obc\u00ed, ktor\u00e9 separovaniu a odpadov\u00e9mu hospod\u00e1rstvu nevenuj\u00fa pozornos\u0165,\u201c<\/em> reaguje na aplik\u00e1ciu EcoHike Jozef Kojeck\u00fd z OZ Ru\u017e\u00ednska priehrada.<\/p>\n

Po\u010das upratovania na Ru\u017e\u00edne sa dobrovo\u013en\u00edkom podarilo vyzbiera\u0165 106 vriec odpadu<\/strong>, pri\u010dom na\u0161li aj chladni\u010dku, pneumatiku, r\u00fdchlovarn\u00fa kanvicu, um\u00fdvadlo alebo top\u00e1nky.<\/p>\n

OZ Save Nature by \u010civas zbieraj\u00fa odpad preva\u017ene len v Ko\u0161ickom samospr\u00e1vnom kraji. Zav\u00edtaj\u00fa v\u0161ak aj do Vysok\u00fdch Tatier, Popradu, \u010di Nov\u00fdch Z\u00e1mkov. \u201eEcoHike bude pre n\u00e1s u\u017eito\u010dn\u00e1 pri lokaliz\u00e1cii odpadu. Ak ho niekto nahl\u00e1si, my budeme ma\u0165 konkr\u00e9tne GPS s\u00faradnice. Viem si na mape pozrie\u0165 \u00fasek, na ktorom sa odpad nach\u00e1dza, a tak napl\u00e1nova\u0165 upratovanie a jeho propagovanie medzi dobrovo\u013en\u00edkmi.\u201c<\/em><\/p>\n

\u013dudia s\u00fa \u010dasto schopn\u00ed vyhodi\u0165 odpad aj na miesta, kde by to nikto ne\u010dakal. Ru\u017e\u00ednska priehrada nie je v\u00fdnimkou. \u201e\u017divotn\u00e9 prostredie si treba nielen chr\u00e1ni\u0165, ale hlavne nezne\u010dis\u0165ova\u0165. Hnev\u00e1 ma, ke\u010f vid\u00edm v pr\u00edrode mno\u017estvo odpadu, ktor\u00e9 n\u00e1s pre\u017eije. Ak m\u00e1 \u010dlovek mo\u017enos\u0165 pozbiera\u0165 odpad z nejak\u00e9ho miesta, tak by to mal urobi\u0165. Preto si mysl\u00edm, \u017ee je super ma\u0165 mo\u017enos\u0165 pri v\u00fdletoch v pr\u00edrode tak\u00e9to miesta ozna\u010di\u0165, odfoti\u0165 a zvidite\u013eni\u0165 ich. \u010c\u00edm viac \u013eud\u00ed, dobrovo\u013en\u00edkov, ob\u010dianskych zdru\u017een\u00ed a zodpovedn\u00fdch in\u0161tit\u00faci\u00ed by sa pripojilo k jej u\u017e\u00edvaniu, t\u00fdm by sa efekt zn\u00e1sobil a mohli by sme si spolo\u010dn\u00fdmi silami vy\u010disti\u0165 pr\u00edrodu,\u201c<\/em> hovor\u00ed Michal Timko, jeden z dobrovo\u013en\u00edkov a zamestnancov GlobalLogic Slovakia, ktor\u00fd sa zapojil do sobot\u0148aj\u0161ieho upratovania Ru\u017e\u00edna.<\/p>\n

\u201eNa Slovensku za\u010d\u00edname s aplik\u00e1ciou EcoHike na Ru\u017e\u00edne. U\u017e teraz sa v\u0161ak vyu\u017e\u00edva na Ukrajine a v Po\u013esku, kde sme zaregistrovali ve\u013ek\u00fa vlnu dobrovo\u013en\u00edctva. Ve\u013emi sa z toho te\u0161\u00edme, preto\u017ee pr\u00edrodn\u00e9 zdroje s\u00fa vz\u00e1cne a limitovan\u00e9, mali by sme sa sna\u017ei\u0165 o ich udr\u017eanie. V boji proti klimatick\u00fdm zmen\u00e1m m\u00f4\u017ee by\u0165 zaanga\u017eovan\u00fd ka\u017ed\u00fd z n\u00e1s. Najv\u00e4\u010d\u0161\u00ed efekt v\u0161ak m\u00f4\u017eu prinies\u0165 dobre premyslen\u00e9 strat\u00e9gie nielen region\u00e1lneho, ale aj glob\u00e1lneho charakteru tak, ako to rob\u00ed GlobalLogic. V s\u00fa\u010dasnosti m\u00e1me rozpracovan\u00e9 viacer\u00e9 intern\u00e9 projekty, na ktor\u00fdch sa podie\u013eaj\u00fa na\u0161i kolegovia. Vysok\u00fa prioritu m\u00e1 pre n\u00e1s pr\u00e1ve podpora aplik\u00e1cie EcoHike. Ver\u00edme, \u017ee si ju u\u017e\u00edvatelia ob\u013e\u00fabia,\u201c<\/em> dod\u00e1va na z\u00e1ver Vladim\u00edr Jacko, Finance Director v GlobalLogic Slovakia. Pr\u00e1ve v tejto glob\u00e1lnej IT spolo\u010dnosti sa zap\u00e1jaj\u00fa do komunitn\u00fdch a region\u00e1lnych projektov a pom\u00e1haj\u00fa naplni\u0165 dlhodob\u00e9 environment\u00e1lne ciele, ako je napr\u00edklad dosiahnutie uhl\u00edkovej neutrality na pracovisk\u00e1ch.<\/p>\n

6 May 2023, Ko\u0161ice\/Ru\u017e\u00edn Reservoir<\/strong> \u2013 The growing production of waste is a serious environmental and social problem. On average, each Slovak man\/woman produces half a tonne of waste each year, and heaps of rubbish degrade our nature, including protected national parks. In the battle against waste and illegal dumps in nature, the EcoHike application<\/strong>, which was tested by volunteers from GlobalLogic Slovakia<\/strong> in cooperation with OZ Ru\u017e\u00ednska priehrada and OZ Save Nature by \u010civas, will help.<\/p>\n

The free app and the technological possibilities that nearly all of us have available will open the door in the fight against litter. \u201cWe at GlobalLogic developed the EcoHike app for everyone who cares about the environment.<\/em> This tool makes it very easy to mark on a map the spot where a mess is located, or where a clean-up needs to take place,\u201d <\/em>says Tibor Rada\u010dovsk\u00fd, Director of Software Engineering at GlobalLogic Slovakia.<\/p>\n

The application, which is freely available to everyone, is intended for organisations whose goal is cultivating the environment by cleaning up public spaces. \u201cThe EcoHike application contains up-to-date maps on which places polluted by waste or from which waste has already been removed can be marked. All the information is available to anyone who logs into the app,\u201d <\/em>explains Rada\u010dovsk\u00fd.<\/p>\n

Stress test in Ru\u017e\u00edn <\/strong><\/p>\n

Volunteers from GlobalLogic Slovakia<\/strong> and from the civic associations OZ Ru\u017e\u00ednska priehrada and OZ Save Nature by \u010civas had the chance to try out the application at the Ru\u017e\u00edn Reservoir. This reservoir has been undergoing intensive cleaning since 2021, not only on land, but on the water surface, too. Volunteers have collected an incredible 56 tonnes of waste over the past four years.<\/p>\n

\u201c<\/em>It’s an excellent idea, because thanks to the app, we can identify sources of waste and assess which location is the most polluted and which will create any potential silt. If individuals start using it, the application will also help in detecting municipalities that are not paying proper attention to waste separation and management,\u201d<\/em> says Jozef Kojeck\u00fd from OZ Ru\u017e\u00ednska priehrada about the EcoHike application.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the EcoHike\u2019s use of modern technology, the volunteers at Ru\u017e\u00edn were able to collect 106 bags of waste<\/strong>, including a fridge, a tire, an electric kettle, a sink or shoes.<\/p>\n

The OZ Save Nature by \u010civas mainly collects waste only in the Ko\u0161ice Self-governing Region, though they will also visit the High Tatras, Poprad, or Nov\u00e9 Z\u00e1mky. \u201c<\/em>EcoHike will be useful for us with locating waste. If someone reports it, we\u2019ll have the specific GPS coordinates. I can then look at the spot on the map where the waste is located and plan and promote the clean-up among volunteers.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

People are capable of throwing waste in places no one would expect it. The Ru\u017e\u00edn Reservoir is no exception. \u201cIt\u2019s not only necessary to protect the environment; it should mainly not be polluted. It makes me angry when I see the amount of waste that people leave behind in nature. If people have the chance to collect waste from a place, then they should do it.<\/em><\/p>\n

That\u2019s why I think it\u2019s great during hikes to have the opportunity to mark such sites, take pictures and make them visible. The more people, volunteers, civic associations and responsible institutions join us in using it, the more the effect will be multiplied, and we could clean up nature together,\u201d<\/em> says Michal Timko, who was among the volunteers and employees of GlobalLogic Slovakia who participated in Saturday clean-up at Ru\u017e\u00edn.<\/p>\n

\u201c<\/em>In Slovakia, we\u2019re starting with the EcoHike app at Ru\u017e\u00edn, but it\u2019s already being used in Ukraine and Poland, too, where we have registered a large wave of volunteering.<\/em> We\u2019re really happy about this, because natural resources are rare and limited, and we should try to maintain them. Every one of us can be involved in the fight against climate change. But the biggest effect can come from well-considered strategies of not only a regional but also a global nature, like GlobalLogic is doing. We currently have several internal projects elaborated that our colleagues are taking part in. Support for the EcoHike application is of high priority for us.
