Decided to try WEB development, namely HTML, CSS and JS. In fact, I didn&#8217;t like it very much, even sometimes it put me off the idea of \u200b\u200bbecoming a developer (I don&#8217;t mean to offend WEB developers with these words)). In the first year, I met a &#8220;six-year-old&#8221;, it was like a second wind. The complexity of this language, the words &#8220;C++ and C are very difficult&#8221;, &#8220;you&#8217;ll want to&#8221; gave only more strength and motivation. And where there are difficult challenges, there I am too)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Why did you decide to apply for C++ GL BaseCamp?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">I found out about the camp from my friend: he sent me a post with recruitment for the course, I offered him to register together, to which I received &#8211; &#8220;no, the pros are not my thing.&#8221; But on the course I met another friend with whom we discussed the material of the lectures after and even during the lectures at the university.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">How did you understand that you are ready for the interview, as well as for the combination of project tasks and training?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">I immediately understood that it would not be easy, but I was motivated by the fact that each of these classes brings its own benefit &#8211; knowledge, experience. One better develops soft and hard skills, the other expands the environment with new people. Therefore, I had a goal to combine all this and try to spend time both at the camp and studying at the university.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">How to prepare for the start<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">What general technical knowledge is needed to start in IT?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Well, first of all, you need to know how to use a computer and quickly Google the necessary information. <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">I also believe that it is important to know how a computer and basic tools work at a basic level. For example, what is a processor and memory, learn to debug your programs, know the standard set of commands in the command line and understand the simplest algorithms and data structures.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Do you have a personal teaching method?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">For me, it&#8217;s learning the same material from multiple sources. For example:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">1) any free course you find on the Internet,\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">2) books (here you can read books directly from C and C++ developers or find something more recent)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">3) and finally consolidate all this by watching relevant videos on YouTube.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">What else is needed to start a career besides technical knowledge?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">One of the most important soft skills that need to be improved is communication. It is important to be able to interact in a team, ask questions, help, listen to others. Also important skills are responsibility, adaptation in a new circle, organization and knowledge of languages.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">What would you advise those who are planning to start a career in IT?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">First of all, I would recommend trying different areas of IT if you can&#8217;t decide. If the process of writing code brings you pleasure, then congratulations, the first stage of &#8220;trying and finding yourself&#8221; has been passed. The next important step is to study and practice in a disciplined manner.
