Code.org: Computer Science Education for All

Equitable access to educational opportunities today is essential for building the computer science professionals of tomorrow.

That’s why GlobalLogic is proud to support Code.org.

In December 2023, we donated to Code.org on behalf of GlobalLogic clients, which was then matched by Sequoia Capital as part of the program’s 10th anniversary.  which was then matched as part of their giving program.

Code.org is an innovative non-profit dedicated to ensuring every student in every school has the opportunity to learn computer science as part of their core K-12 education. Founded in 2013, it began with a single video, ‘What Most Schools Don’t Teach,’ from twin brothers Ali and Hadi Partovi.

Through their many online learning tools, public projects, incubators, and global ‘Hour of Code’ movement, Code.org fuels the tech industry with talent that is better connected, more diverse, and empowered to drive extraordinary change in the years ahead.

Improving diversity in computer science, inspiring students worldwide, and helping to shape a workforce of talented, creative coders – these are initiatives we can get behind.

Today, Code.org supports over 80 million students and 20 million teachers with top-quality computer science education resources and opportunities – and you can help.

Visit the Code.org website to explore how they’re helping students around the globe learn computer science, and to find more ways to get involved.
