Description

The client aims to develop a single app for Healthcare Professionals that consolidates all wound care elements, bringing currently offline, manual, or fragmented parts into one digital online platform.
A lack of a standardized roadmap often leads to inconsistent care and a reactive management of wounds rather than proactive healing. The proposed app should directly address this by serving as a flexible, on-demand guide. The vision for the proposed digital tool is not a rigid product selector, but an intelligent educational companion – a “copilot” designed to guide clinicians through a consistent, best-practice protocol.

The primary target user is the non-specialist clinician who is competent but lacks the confidence of an expert. Secondary users are experienced wound care specialists. The app’s core value is to build confidence by providing on-demand, consistent and flexible guidance.

Success for the initial product version (MVP) should not be measured by direct sales attribution but by user engagement and retention. The app’s value lies in building professional skills and confidence.

Job responsibilities

– Set up a project from scratch.
– Defines QA processes.
– Expert in mobile performance testing.
– Designs scalable cross-platform frameworks, implements parallel/distributed execution (cloud device farms), and advanced debugging & reporting.
– Manages device cloud infrastructure, optimizes test pipelines for speed & reliability.
– Acts as a QA advocate, proactive in risk mitigation.

 

1. Python for test automation

Syntax & OOP basics (functions, classes, modules, virtualenv/poetry, packaging).
Testing stack: pytest (fixtures, markers, parametrization), assertions, and test structure.
Web/mobile automation in Python: Selenium/WebDriver, Appium (locators, waits, page objects).
2. Cloud device grids + CI integration (Sauce Labs / BrowserStack)

Set desired capabilities for web and mobile (platform versions, devices, browsers).
Secure credentials via CI secrets; run tests in parallel; collect artifacts (videos, logs).
Wire into a pipeline: Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps (matrix builds, job caching, retry-on-flake).
Practical: convert the local suite to run on Sauce/BrowserStack with a single config switch (env vars).
3. Mocks/Stubs for mobile automation

Concepts: mock vs stub vs fake; test pyramid (unit → component → E2E).
Android: use MockWebServer (OkHttp) or WireMock; DI to swap real services; fake repositories.
iOS: use URLProtocol mocking, OHHTTPStubs/Mocker; inject services; fixture-driven responses.
Network-layer isolation (simulate 200/400/500, timeout, empty states), deterministic test data.
Practical: create an app screen test where API responses are stubbed to cover success/error/edge cases.
4. Strongly Recommended

Test design: Page Object / Screenplay patterns, flakiness control (explicit waits, idempotent locators).
Reporting: Allure/Extent, junit XML for CI, tagging tests for fast/slow/regression.
Mobile specifics: handling permissions, deep links, biometrics/sensors (mocking where supported).
Version control: clean Git history, PR hygiene, pre-commit hooks (lint/format).
