Requirements

• Azure Architectural Expertise: Deep, hands-on expertise in designing and implementing complex Azure IaaS/PaaS/SaaS solutions across all core services (Compute, Storage, Networking, Identity, Security, Databases, Serverless).
  IaC Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or Bicep/ARM Templates, including module development, state management, and CI/CD integration.
• Scripting & Automation: Advanced scripting skills in PowerShell and Azure CLI, with experience in developing complex automation workflows.
• CI/CD & DevOps: Extensive experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
• Advanced Networking: Expert understanding of complex cloud networking concepts, including hybrid connectivity (ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway), advanced routing, network security groups, application gateways, firewalls, and DNS management.
• Security Architecture: Proven experience designing and implementing comprehensive security architectures within Azure, including identity and access management (IAM), data protection, network security, and compliance frameworks.
• Certification: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) is highly preferred. Additional certifications like Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500) or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400) are a plus.
• Monitoring & Logging: Expertise in designing and implementing enterprise-level monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Azure Sentinel, and custom dashboarding.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Strong experience with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes (AKS), including design, deployment, and management of containerized applications.
• DevOps & SRE Leadership: Demonstrated leadership in fostering a strong DevOps/SRE culture, driving continuous improvement, site reliability, and operational excellence.
• Cost Management: Experience with FinOps principles and tools for cloud cost

Job responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Strategy: Define and evolve the Azure cloud architecture, including networking, identity, security, and foundational compute/storage. Develop strategic roadmaps for cloud adoption, optimization, and innovation within the Landing Zones.
Design and Build Leadership: Lead the design and deployment of complex Azure services, ensuring alignment with architectural principles and business requirements. This includes advanced networking (Hub-Spoke, ExpressRoute Global Reach), identity integration (hybrid AD, AAD Connect), and enterprise-grade security controls (Azure Firewall Premium, WAF, Azure Security Center, Defender for Cloud).
Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) & Automation: Architect, develop, and enforce advanced IaC standards using Terraform or Bicep/ARM Templates, focusing on modularity, reusability, and maintainability across multiple environments. Drive the automation of infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and operational tasks.
Cloud Governance & Compliance: Establish and champion comprehensive cloud governance frameworks, including sophisticated Azure Policy definitions, blueprint enforcement, cost management strategies, and robust resource tagging to ensure enterprise-wide security, cost optimization, and regulatory compliance.
Operations and Optimization: Oversee the performance, cost, and health of the Azure environment. Lead proactive optimization efforts, capacity planning, and incident response, ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Security & Compliance Leadership: Design and implement advanced security architectures, ensuring all cloud deployments adhere to stringent security baselines and regulatory requirements. Lead the implementation and management of security services such as Azure Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Azure Sentinel, and Just-in-Time access.
Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Create and maintain high-level architectural documentation, design specifications, and detailed operational runbooks. Mentor junior engineers and facilitate knowledge transfer within the team.
Collaboration & Mentorship: Serve as a primary technical liaison, collaborating extensively with application development, security, network, and compliance teams. Provide architectural guidance and support to ensure cloud solutions meet cross-functional requirements and business objectives.
