Description

As a vital member of the Policy Experience team, you will be instrumental in supporting our CustomerSupport Representatives, Underwriters, and other teams within the organization to seamlessly manageand review our client’s insurance policies. This Remote role empowers you to participate in architecturaldiscussions for the front end while collaborating closely with our back-end engineers to ensure thedelivery of a high-performance and user-friendly experience. Our goals for 2025/2026 will introduce ahost of new features and services, necessitating substantial engineering decisions grounded in aprofound understanding of product requirements. Requirements

We’re looking for someone who has:
– Proven experience building and architecting applications with web technologies, addressingchallenges related to accessibility, browser compatibility, and frontend performance.
– Experience and comfortable with tools like NPM, Yarn, Vite, Jest, Webpack.
– Experience integrating with REST or GraphQL APIs and collaborating on contract definitions withbackend teams.
– Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, and code quality practices.
– Familiarity with agile methodologies, sprint planning, and iterative delivery in cross functional teams.
– Ability to influence frontend architecture, mentor engineers through code reviews and pairprogramming.

Highly preferred candidates also have:
– React Hooks and React Testing Library.
– TypeScript Expertise.
– Custom Design System Components.
– Front-end tracing, logging, and troubleshooting.
– Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery.
– HTML forms.
– Shift left testing.
– Rules engine.
– Insurtech or Fintech environments.

Job responsibilities

What you’d be doing:
– Utilize modern Typescript and Javascript tooling (React, Typescript, and an internal React componentdesign system) to construct and test components collaboratively with your team.
– Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, Backend Engineers and guide engineers tocraft feature rich user experiences.
– Participate actively in pair programming and code reviews, elevating the overall quality of code onyour squad.
– Drive technical initiatives such as performance optimization, frontend observability, and testautomation.
