EHR Integrations for HealthCare

Requirements

EHR systems – for ex. Epic or Cerner

HL7, FHIR

Java or .Net

 

8+ years of commercial experience in developing and experience in deploying EHR Interoperability solutions and services

Understanding of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems (e.g. Epic and Cerner) and interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR

Experience working with large complex integrated delivery network deployment of
an EHR such as Cerner, EPIC or equivalent EHR systems

Understanding of clinical standards such as (SNOMED, LOINC, ICD, etc) and the different payloads of data available, including segment and data types, in HL7 messages (ADTs,ORUs, ORMs,DFT etc)

Understanding of the different types of FHIR API calls and the data payloads contained in the responses

Familiarity with multiple, diverse technical integrations, technologies, and processing environments

Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) integration engines, their capabilities and sending and receiving different types of HL7 messages via HTTP(s) and TCP/IP

Experience with configuring HL7 data interfaces including ADT, Lab, Pharmacy and other clinical/financial/administrative functions.

Ability to research API specs, such as Swagger, to understand and evaluate API availability and data responses for current needs and future growth

Experience working with agile software development methods, such as scrum and Kanban and exposure to working within CI/CD pipelines.

Ability to work effectively across multiple departments, countries, and time zones

Self-motivated to complete tasks timely with competence; driven to self-educate and improve processes

Excellent technical, troubleshooting & mentoring skills

Strong verbal, written and presentation skills with ability to build trust

Results oriented with focused urgency, prioritization skills and ability to recognize/escalate issues appropriately

Can comprehend product specifications, architectural and high-level design, functional specifications.


Job Responsibilities

– Provide technical leadership and decision-making, guiding the team through complex problem-solving, tech decisions and issue resolution.
– Participate in the design and development of scalable solutions.
– Develop software products – design, code, test, package and document new products.
– Work closely with teams and stakeholders to successfully bring the solution to production.
– Work with project team to plan, estimate, schedule, and implement development project tasks.
– Report development project status in accordance with project plans.
– Participate in the review of all product documentation and training materials.
– Participate in the general release product turnover meetings.
– Participate in the planning and execution of on-site customer testing.
– Participate in the rollout of services and software.
– training of new software development team members.
