Description
The client is a product international company with a common goal to redefine the legacy approach to Privileged Access Management by delivering multi-cloud-architected solutions to enable digital transformation at scale. Client company establishes a root of trust and then grants the least privileged access just-in-time based on verifying who is requesting access, the context of the request, and the risk of the access environment.
The client’s products centralize and orchestrate fragmented identities, improve audit and compliance visibility, and reduce risk, complexity, and costs for the modern, hybrid enterprise. Over half of the Fortune 100, the world’s largest financial institutions, intelligence agencies, and critical infrastructure companies, all trust this company to stop the leading cause of breaches – privileged credential abuse.
The inventory service is a service on the client platform that aggregates assets from other platform services and centralizes them in one location providing quick access to details and actions. As an example, the inventory service aggregates all “computer” assets so users can search and filter on computer hosts in order to launch remote access sessions to those targets.
The inventory service team will be undergoing some significant projects in the coming months, geared at allowing the onboarding of new asset types and enabling performance at scale. It will be implementing Cognitive Search to help with performance around pulling and rendering asset data. Inventory will also be implementing the concept of “Collections” which will allow Platform users to group objects, and then apply policy, permissions, etc. to their groupings to enable new workflows for customers across their environments.
Requirements
Job Description
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in maintaining and optimizing cloud services on AWS/Azure/GCP
- Proficiency in Python, including experience with the Flask web framework
- Experience working with Python3, Flask, Fast API (or Django / Rest Framework)
- Hands-on experience with ElasticSearch or any equivalent full-text search engine (more nice to have)
- Front-end development experience
- Experience with AWS CLI, boto/boto3, CloudFormation or Terraform
- Experience with the CI/CD pipeline framework
- Knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration
- Experience writing and/or troubleshooting database queries
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-haves:
- AWS/Azure certifications are a plus.
- Experience with ETL processes and AWS Lambda functions
- Experience with DataDog
- Experience writing Angular code
- Experience with C# or similar strongly typed, OOP language
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps pipelines for CI/CD
Job Responsibilities
In the role and capacity of Senior Engineer – you will be expected to:
- Work autonomously and communicate across teams in order to drive an increase in functional quality and improve customer experience.
- Perform front-end and back-end development, bug fixes, code optimization, and rewrites to ensure the service’s reliability and performance.
- Enhance the product’s intrinsic quality by refining and developing the product code including ElasticSearch implementation
- Monitor a support slack channel and own the process of bug tracking, replication, development, and testing
- Handle operations tasks such as manual provisioning, de-provisioning, and right-sizing of tenants to optimize resource utilization.
- Manage and maintain a command-line interface (CLI) written in Python, utilizing the boto/boto3 libraries for AWS interactions, and
infrastructure as code tools like CloudFormation and Terraform. - Expand logging and monitoring by adding a DataDog client to AWS services and adding automation
- Debug and manage services in a Kubernetes cluster, ensuring the reliability and scalability of the infrastructure
- Work on code and infrastructure optimizations to manage cost, including data migrations and re-balancing shared cloud resources
