Our client is looking for a SW Developer Test Automation to join the team. This role will involve both automated and manual testing in the automotive industry, specifically performing tests on car simulation rigs and test vehicles. You will work closely with development teams to ensure the quality and functionality of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto products through automation scripts and hands-on testing.

Requirements:
Python Experience: At least 5 years of experience writing automated test scripts in Python, with a strong understanding of the language’s testing libraries and frameworks.
Linux Experience: At least 5 years of experience working in a Linux environment, including basic command-line operations and managing test environments.
Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is required to operate test vehicles during manual testing.
Testing Experience: Proven experience in testing, with a strong understanding of both manual and automated testing methodologies, preferably in the automotive industry.
Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues during testing.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail when documenting test cases and reporting defects.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with automotive testing (e.g., simulation rigs, test cars).
Familiarity with other testing frameworks or tools.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests into the development cycle.
Test Automation: Develop, implement, and maintain automated test scripts using Python for efficient and accurate testing of automotive products.
Manual Testing: Perform manual tests on car simulation rigs and test vehicles, ensuring comprehensive coverage and accurate results.
Test Design & Execution: Design and execute both automated and manual test cases based on product specifications and quality requirements.
Defect Reporting & Tracking: Identify and document defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution and tracking through tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal SW development teams, including SW developers and other testers, including developers and quality assurance engineers, to integrate automated testing into the development pipeline.
Environment Setup: Set up and maintain test environments, including simulation rigs and test cars, ensuring all configurations are correct for various test scenarios.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and automation frameworks to optimize test coverage and efficiency.
