Randy Merry

Randy Merry has been the CTO for GlobalLogic’s Medical Technology and Healthcare Business Unit since 2015. He has over 30 years of experience in the development of medical device systems, as a Research and Product Development executive with various companies including Medtronic and Physio-Control. As a RD leader, Randy has led through his respective teams in the development and clearance of over 35 class I, II and III medical device products or systems. Over the course of Randy’s career, his experience spans numerous disease domains and medical device products ranging from cardiology, neurology, diabetes and surgical robotics.

Randy is a recognized expert in the development of medical device systems including the ISO/IEC standards required to achieve regulatory clearance of these products. In addition, his experience includes the development and clearance of a number of “first of a kind” products like the Medtronic CareLink system or the Physio-Control LIFENET system that included the first FDA clearances of mobile smart phone and cloud computing apps. Randy holds numerous medical device system patents.
