Discover how GlobalLogic’s AI-powered solutions helped a global software leader migrate...
Bucharest, Romania – June 18, 2025 – GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group company and a leader in digital engineering, officially announced today the opening of a new office in Bucharest, reinforcing Romania’s growing role as a strategic innovation hub within the company’s EMEA network. This expansion comes as GlobalLogic scales the adoption of VelocityAI, its comprehensive suite of AI-powered service offerings, across Europe, empowering clients to engineer intelligent products, platforms, and services faster and more responsibly.
GlobalLogic’s Bucharest office employs a team of 150 colleagues, out of a total of approximately 1,100 across the country. In addition, the company is looking to expand its teams in cutting-edge technology areas, with a focus on web development, .NET, Java, DevOps, and test automation (QA Automation), with more than 100 new jobs opening in offices across the country and remotely.
The recruitment initiative reflects GlobalLogic’s commitment to meeting the growing demand for advanced technology solutions and providing attractive career opportunities for IT specialists in Romania.
“Romania is at the heart of our transformation journey, and plays a key role in our broader European strategy,” said Yuliia Shtukaturova, newly appointed Europe Region Head. “With deep technical talent and a culture of innovation, our teams here are helping scale the impact of GlobalLogic VelocityAI across industries from automotive and finance to enterprise software.”
Already in active use across client engagements, VelocityAI is GlobalLogic’s comprehensive suite of AI-powered service offerings, designed to help enterprises accelerate product development, improve operations, and enhance customer experiences by integrating AI, digital, and human expertise. It includes:
GlobalLogic is already delivering outstanding results by integrating GenAI into the software development lifecycle (SDLC). The AI-Powered SDLC solution has shown significant impact among companies, generating 30% productivity increases, 25% faster time-to-market, and 20% reductions in operational costs. Through intelligent automation and optimized workflows, development teams are empowered to deliver digital solutions faster, more efficiently, and at scale.
“GlobalLogic VelocityAI is not just a thing of the moment, it’s a catalyst for intelligent transformation,” said Andrii Yavorsky, Senior Vice President, Strategy and Business, Operations Europe. “And Romania is playing a pivotal role in bringing this transformation to life in Europe as well.”
The Bucharest office complements GlobalLogic’s existing presence in several of the largest cities in Romania (Cluj-Napoca, Iasi, Oradea, and Brasov), further strengthening its ability to deliver end-to-end digital solutions. The expansion follows the successful integration of Fortech, one of the largest Romanian software development companies, which was finalized in February 2024.
“Fortech’s journey from a local Romanian company to a key part of GlobalLogic is a story of resilience and vision,” said Călin Văduva, Senior Vice President and Group Delivery Unit Head. “As part of the Hitachi Group, we’re proud to continue that journey by investing in Romania’s future as a top-tier digital engineering hub aligned with our shared commitment to innovation and sustainable growth .”
GlobalLogic’s growth in Romania is underpinned by its commitment to a people-first culture. “We don’t just hire engineers, we grow innovators,” said Crina Ilie, Senior Vice President and HR Leader for EMEA. “Our focus on learning, inclusivity, and career mobility ensures our teams are ready to lead in the age of AI.”
From Bucharest to Silicon Valley, GlobalLogic’s Romanian teams are delivering cutting-edge solutions that are reshaping industries and accelerating digital transformation.
