Description

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our ambitious team in Charlotte, NC, USA. This is an outstanding opportunity to work with a company that leads the way in digital product engineering and continuously strives to set new standards of excellence.

Requirements

• At least 6+ years of developer experience with a focus on Data Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience in Data Engineering development using Python and Pyspark as an ETL tool.
• Proficient in AWS services like Glue, RDS, S3, Step Functions, Event Bridge, Lambda, MSK (Kafka), EKS.
• Expertise in databases like Postgres, SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase.
• Extensive experience with SQL database programming, performance tuning, and relational model analysis.
• Strong technical experience in design, development, and unit testing.
• Knowledgeable in CI/CD DevOps processes and tools like Bitbucket, GitHub, Jenkins.
• Solid foundation in data modeling, data warehousing, data mining, data analysis, and data profiling.
• Experienced with Agile/SCRUM methodology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job responsibilities

• Provide prioritizing, estimating, planning, design, development, and support services for projects.
• Identify and develop technical detailed design documents.
• Collaborate with developers and business areas to craft, configure, deploy, and maintain custom ETL infrastructure supporting project initiatives.
• Craft and develop data/batch processing, data manipulation, data mining, and data extraction/transformation/loading (ETL Pipelines) into large data domains.
• Document and present solution alternatives to clients, supporting business processes and objectives.
• Work closely with business analysts to understand and prioritize user requirements.
• Design, develop, test, and implement application code.
• Adhere to software development lifecycle processes and standards strictly.
• Conduct quality analysis of products, manage defect tracking and classification.
• Track progress and intervene as needed to eliminate barriers, ensuring timely delivery.
• Resolve or advance problems, managing risk for both development and production support.
• Maintain deep understanding of technical and industry standard methodologies and trends.
