Description

We are seeking a skilled Backend Automation Engineer with a strong focus on API testing to
join our team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining
automated test frameworks and test suites specifically for our backend APIs. The ideal
candidate has a solid background in software development, testing methodologies, API
testing techniques, and automation tools.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in backend automation testing, with a strong emphasis on API
testing.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Experience with API test automation frameworks and tools such as RestAssured,
Postman, or SoapUI.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web services, including HTTP methods,
request/response structures, and authentication mechanisms.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Familiarity with database testing and SQL.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Job responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for backend
APIs.
• Write high-quality, reliable, and maintainable test scripts using programming languages
such as Python, Java, or JavaScript, with a focus on API testing libraries and tools.
• Execute automated API tests, analyze test results, and identify defects.
• Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to understand API specifications
and design e^ective test strategies.
• Integrate automated API tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous testing.
• Develop and maintain test data and test environments specifically tailored for API
testing.
• Participate in API code reviews and provide feedback on testability and automation
potential.
• Contribute to the improvement of API testing processes and methodologies.
• Stay up to date with the latest API testing tools and technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API test automation.
• Develop and maintain API test documentation
