Description

GL has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team of engineers responsible for building and deploying solutions to the fleet of over 650,000 connected devices installed in vehicles driving worldwide. Our Client is the leading provider of in-cab video safety and telematics. The device software team enables real-time sensing of driving behavior and environmental conditions that assist our customers to manage the safety and efficiency of their fleet of vehicles. As an engineer on the team, you will build solutions that enable connectivity and real-time access to video recorded in the vehicle, AI triggered insights captured from live video, advanced telemetry and vehicle sensors, and integration with onboard vehicle systems.

 

Requirements

Bachelor degree in computer engineering or related field or equivalent work experience

Minimum three years of embedded software development experience

Experience using Linux/UNIX platforms and shell utilities

Strong experience in C++

Experience with GNU make, Cmake build systems

Experience with OpenEmbedded/Yocto

 

 

 

Job responsibilities

Review software source code and other project artifacts

Analyze and implement planned tasks

Identify and report technical risks

Integration of proposed solutions with the existing system

Support design, update, and maintenance of the project documentation

Meet commitments, communicate implementation status and project-related events

Work within Scrum Team
