  • Develop from scratch the documentation set for new software products
  • Create high-quality technical documentation for customer-facing software products
  • Responsible for planning and overall design of technical information, including installation, UX, operation, and maintenance instructions.
  • Manage the documentation process, including planning, writing, reviewing, editing, and publishing
  • To work closely with software developers, product managers, and corporate teams

Requirements

  • Cross-functionally represent the organization on project teams and assume technical project leadership.
  • Build and maintain the technical publication knowledge base: The intended audience of the technical writing would include, but not limited to, cybersecurity teams, software application users, marketing teams, etc.
  • Track and resolve documentation defects from customer feedback
  • Ensure all documentation is clear, concise, and easy to understand for a variety of audiences
  • Continuously improve documentation processes and workflows to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Industry experience that enables one to write clear, cohesive, technical documentation.
  • Quickly understand and get up to speed on different authoring tools and product technologies.
  • Managed the documentation process, including planning, writing, reviewing, editing, and publishing
  • Created templates for specific documentation requirements
  • Prior experience in building and maintaining the technical publication knowledge base
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

Job responsibilities

  • Interface with technical support on specific customer configuration documentation
  • Transform design specifications to user documentation
  • Interface with engineering on new software products
  • Interface with technical support on specific customer configurations
  • Document all software releases. Build and maintain the technical publication library
  • Continuously upgrade all documentation to current software releases
  • Develop and maintain templates, style guides, topic-based authoring for single sourcing, reuse, and adhere to DITA standards
