Imtiaz Shaikh is responsible for driving global HR strategy and execution across multiple Hitachi organizations, including as Chief People Officer for Hitachi Digital.

In his nearly 20 years in HR leadership roles at Hitachi, Imtiaz has transformed the business through innovation and people-focused process re-engineering – from new global HRMS systems to the establishment and expansion of HR shared services. Prior to joining Hitachi, Imtiaz held project and business management roles with Cisco Systems, Providian Financial, and Netpace, Inc.

Imtiaz earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda and a Master of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from the University of New Haven. He also completed the Executive Development Program at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth University and the Executive Leadership Program at the International Institute of Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland.
