Premkumar (Prem) Balasubramanian is Chief Technology Officer for Hitachi Digital Services and GlobalLogic. He leads technology strategy, innovation, and AI transformation, helping clients leverage AI, data, cloud, intelligent automation, and digital engineering to accelerate business value.

A recognized technology leader, Prem is responsible for shaping the companies' technology vision and developing differentiated digital solutions that enable enterprises to modernize, innovate, and build resilience, transforming ideas into real-world business impact. His focus spans generative AI adoption at scale, software engineering transformation, digital resilience, and emerging technologies.

Prior to joining Hitachi, Prem spent more than 18 years at Cognizant in senior technology and practice leadership roles. He also held technology positions at RippeTech LLC and California Software Labs and is the holder of a patent focused on improving resilience in enterprise IT environments.

Prem holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering and a postgraduate diploma in Business Administration.
