Sumit Sood

Sumit Sood drives digital transformation (DX), and AI-driven innovation across the Hitachi group. He is a tenured executive with more than two and a half decades of experience in the global IT services industry. Before his role as Chief Synergy and Transformation Officer, Sumit was Chief Operating Officer & Head of Engineering, and prior to this, the Group Vice President & Head of Asia Pacific within GlobalLogic. 

His depth of experience extends to executive leadership, stakeholder management, technology and business solutions, and growth strategy in both the local and global arenas. He has driven transformational agendas, managing global delivery teams alongside customers and enterprises across the banking, telecom, and media and entertainment industries. 

Sumit holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Punjab Engineering College, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management from XLRI. 

He is a founding member of the Worldwide Institute of Software Architects, a key contributor to Engineering R&D councils, and a spirited technology enthusiast. Sumit enjoys playing golf and is an avid reader of humor and history.
