Requirements

Lead Architect / Technical Product Owner for a sales application project at an automotive OEM, where part of the system still operates on a mainframe. The  project aims to migrate the mainframe-based components to AWS Cloud using Rocket Software’s migration solution.
The project needs an experienced Lead Architect / technical Product Owner, who is taking over the responsibility and drive this migration with the project team (consisting of application team, mainframe, cloud experts).

Job responsibilities

Job profile:
•Overall responsibility for the technical architecture of the target platform in the cloud and ensuring compliance with quality standards, scalability, and future-proofing.
•Role of the technical Product Owner: maintenance of the product backlog (classical: work package definition), prioritization of the backlog, steering of implementation, ensuring the requirements for cloud migration, integration, and automation.
•Transition of the existing mainframe application into an AWS cloud architecture with the help of ROCKET Solution.
•Leadership and coordination of the migration team as well as close collaboration with the application team, operations (mainframe, cloud), and other stakeholders.
•Analysis of existing systems and documentation of technical requirements, use of migration tools and strategies. Identification and management of risks, technical challenges, and interface complexity. Promotion of agile methods and DevOps practices within the migration project.
•Communication of the technical roadmap to management and the project team in English (must-have) and German (nice-to-have)
