We are seeking a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team. This individual will not only be responsible for building and maintaining our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines but will also have the opportunity to lead projects, design technical solutions, and mentor junior engineers. This role is a perfect fit for a proactive professional with a strong technical background who is looking to grow into a senior leadership position. You will work independently to drive key initiatives while collaborating with development, QA, and security teams to improve our overall software delivery lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions.
Lead the deployment and management of containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes in our cloud environments.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of our AWS infrastructure.
Establish and refine monitoring and logging solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack to ensure system reliability and performance.
Identify and automate repetitive tasks to improve team efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Independently lead key DevOps projects from inception to completion, taking full ownership of the technical solution and its outcomes.
Serve as a technical point of contact for specific projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to align on requirements and deliverables.
Mentor and guide junior team members, providing technical assistance and promoting best practices.
Conduct code reviews for IaC and scripting to ensure quality and adherence to security standards.
Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to integrate DevOps practices early in the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Participate in incident management and root cause analysis, recommending and implementing preventive measures.
Continuously evaluate and propose new tools and technologies to enhance our DevOps capabilities..
What You Bring
Experience:
5 to 7years of overall IT or DevOps Engineer.
2 to 4 years specifically in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
Telecom industry experience (2–4 years) is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
CI/CD & Version Control: Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and GitHub Actions; proficient in Git for version control and collaborative DevOps workflows
Containerization & Orchestration: Proficient in Docker and Kubernetes for container lifecycle management and orchestration
Cloud Platforms: Deep knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, VPC, Lambda, EKS, and CloudWatch
Scripting & Automation: Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python for automation, configuration, and system management tasks
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation; familiar with CloudFormation as well
Monitoring & Observability: Experience implementing observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)
Security & Compliance: Knowledge of cloud security best practices, secret management, and exposure to compliance frameworks in cloud environments (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001)
Telecom Systems: Billing, Provisioning, CRM,BSS/OSS systems including rate plan migration.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to break down complex technical topics for business stakeholders
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment with shifting priorities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Master’s degree or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
Experience with Kubernetes on AWS EKS and related AWS networking integrations.
Familiarity with Helm, Kubernetes ConfigMaps, Secrets, and Ingress controllers.
Understanding of service discovery and DNS-based routing in Kubernetes.
Exposure to compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001) and security tooling.
