Product Owner
Hybrid
Experience Range: 9-12 Years
About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Product Owner to lead the continuous development of the platform. In this role, you will help build a solution that provides drug manufacturers with an efficient, single point of access to distribute limited distribution drugs (LDDs) through the most clinically expert channels. Our platform aggregates real-world data, supports advanced therapy management programs, and integrates deeply with health system EMR infrastructure to deliver superior patient outcomes and reduce the total cost of care. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in identifying and integrating AI enhancement capabilities wherever needed to optimize operational processes and elevate patient care outcomes.
What You Will Own (Key Platform Capabilities):
As the Product Owner, you will drive the roadmap, backlog, and feature execution for critical platform functionalities, including:
-AI & Process Optimization: Leveraging AI enhancement capabilities across the platform wherever needed to streamline operational workflows, automate complex processes, and drive better patient care outcomes.
-Data & Analytics: Centralized data aggregation and reporting across a national network of health system specialty pharmacies, alongside real-world drug usage analytics and insights for manufacturer partners.
-EMR Integration: EMR-integrated therapy management and adherence programs delivered right at the point of care.
-Compliance & Safety: Comprehensive adverse event (AE) capture and reporting to support post-market pharmacovigilance, as well as REMS (Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy) implementation and management for complex drugs.
-Patient & Payer Services: Features enabling prior authorization coordination, patient financial advocacy services, and consultative payer relationship management for better reimbursement outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap
• Define and own the product roadmap for the specialty pharmacy network platform, aligning with organizational strategy and manufacturer, payer, and health system needs
• Translate complex healthcare workflows — including LDD distribution, REMS management, and therapy management — into clear product requirements and user stories.
• Stay ahead of industry trends in specialty pharmacy, value-based care, and ACO models to inform product direction.
• Champion a patient-centered product philosophy, ensuring every feature decision prioritizes care continuity and clinical outcomes.
Stakeholder Collaboration
• Act as primary product liaison between clinical teams, engineering, drug manufacturer partners, payer contacts, and health system network members.
• Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions with specialists, pharmacy coordinators, Patient Financial Advocates (PFAs), and therapy management nurses
• Manage competing priorities across a diverse stakeholder ecosystem including manufacturers, IDNs, payers, and internal operations
• Build strong relationships with manufacturer partners and health system members to identify product improvement opportunities
Backlog Management & Execution
• Own and maintain a prioritized product backlog; write detailed, actionable user stories with acceptance criteria
• Partner with engineering and UX teams through agile sprint cycles to deliver high-quality product increments
• Define, measure, and report on key product KPIs including therapy initiation rates, adherence outcomes, AE reporting completeness, and data accuracy
• Ensure data aggregation pipelines and manufacturer-facing analytics meet contractual and quality standards
Compliance & Quality
• Ensure product solutions support full compliance with REMS documentation requirements, specialty pharmacy accreditation standards (URAC), and applicable regulations.
• Collaborate with compliance and clinical teams to embed adverse event reporting and safety monitoring into product workflows
• Support audit readiness for LDD contract requirements and manufacturer program specifications.
Data & Analytics
• Drive development of real-world data products that provide manufacturers with actionable insights on drug utilization, adherence, and clinical outcomes
• Define data quality standards across the network and ensure consistent operating procedures are reflected in system design
• Partner with data engineering teams to build aggregated, de-identified data feeds that meet manufacturer and payer reporting needs
